 ⏵ arrival ⏴ Arrival is absolutely not normal this month. Instead of a hospital bed, you wake in a tunnel with a large group of other people. These are the residents. A woman’s voice in an earpiece hurriedly clues you in with an apology. I apologize; I had not planned to introduce you this way, but we are low on time. Please proceed down the hallway. For everyone else, coming in is much the same. The instruction goes out to head to designated areas immediately, where companion bots will escort the residents of Etraya down into the depths, the area beneath where much the same is explained.  ⏵ disrobing ⏴ The tunnel eventually opens directly into the foreroom of an expansive library, painted in marvelous hues and patterns with skylights far above. There are wizards milling about, bearded and holding tomes, quietly chatting amongst themselves. The reception area of the library has tall ceilings with equally tall doors Before you get too caught up in the scenery, a voice directs you forward. A gentleman, hunched and bespeckled craws out. "Make a line! Make a line, everyone! You cannot enter the library dressed as you are... Come forward and give me your name." The receptionist asks your given name and then hands over a box from underneath his counter. You can give him any name you want, he doesn’t seem to mind. It is tied with a tagged ribbon- labeling it accordingly. “The _____ robe of _______.”
As you read what the contents of the box may be, they form inside- Looking and behaving as your character expects them to. After all, magic is all in the wielder’s mind. Don your robes and enter the library.  ⏵ unfamiliar familiars ⏴ For those without a familiar (like one hatched from an egg not too long ago) you may borrow one from the library counter. They all have strengths and weaknesses, but they will all assist in the very important mission. As you roam the library, they will make little indications that you are closer or further from finding a piece of the pearl.
 ⏵ the task at hand ⏴ With robes donned and creature in hand, you must now complete your mission. Find the pieces of the shattered pearl. As you enter the library, you may notice that it’s all very dim. There’s oil lamps around the place that may be moved with you to assist in your journey if your robes do not already emit light. Break off and search the library. There is a directory at the front to point guests to all the different sections.
Each section looks enough like the last, though the books within have immense power. Pick up the wrong book, and you might conjure a dragon or a historical figure! You must persist and avoid making too much noise or breaking too many things. Or else the Librarian, a tall mass of knotted fabric will confiscate your robe and usher you back outside. Your name will be struck from the list, and you must pick a new one to re-enter the library to continue the search. You can try to fight back against him- he may be set alight with the lamp. But should you be starting fires in here? Any thread with 15 comments between you and another may be submitted to find a piece of the pearl. There are 20 pieces altogether, and we will determine if the mission was successful by March 28th. A post will go live on the OOC comm for this! This mission occurs out of time, similar to how the spaceship had. Meaning, those currently in game can experience these events any time between now, and March 14th. Clef | Magic Knight Rayearth
No longer was he within the castle walls anymore, let alone the room where the Proof of the Pillar once resided. Instead, he found himself inside an underground tunnel with a brief synopsis of his whereabouts and requirements to complete one of many missions to save his world from total annihilation.
As much as he could remember, the Magic Knights and the three neighboring countries used their combined powers to eradicate the newest threat to Cephiro with Hikaru ready to enact her wish as the new Pillar. So how could the world Princess Emeraude - and himself among others - loved with all her heart be in the crosshairs so soon after the fact? Were all the sacrifices and literal blood, sweat, and tears made prior to Deboniar’s defeat be for naught?
Had he not overexerted himself moments before his untimely arrival in Etraya, Clef would’ve actively sought out answers on his own if only to ease the growing wariness about the current situation. For now, the best alternative while in his weakened state was to recuperate and silently observe the many passersby until an opportune time.
[2: Disrobing]
After an undetermined amount of hours, the psychically young Guru arrived at a library with an overall atmosphere reminiscent of times past. It triggered a memory about life in Cephiro before everything fell apart, which he immediately nipped in the bud a second later. After all, Hikaru’s eventual wish would prevent history from repeating itself with the love of many to determine the fate of their country. Admittedly, what was said back at the tunnel managed to cause some form of doubt about that particular prospect… which may explain why he’s in the reception area in the first place.
He made his way past a certain desk and the long line beside it, his belief in the gentleman’s vocal concern about his wardrobe nonexistent. Due to Clef’s status as the most powerful mage of all Cephiro, he already looked the part with the elaborate robe and intimidating staff. Unless proven otherwise, he would instead focus on his own abilities rather than the clothing of complete strangers. Trust should be earned and if past experiences meant anything, it won't be given so easily.
[3: Unfamiliar familiars]
Blue eyes glanced over the three animals known as familiars, each with the potential to help aid him in the mission to find the missing pieces inside the library. He weighed the pros and cons of the toad, rat, and cat in silent contemplation until a thought came to mind…
If he summoned one of his own to take part in the mission, their presence alone may lessen or even diminish any liability of the current familiars. The only downside was further strain to his body, which had not fully recovered from his previous ordeal back home. But if it meant a successful outcome and in the long term a safe Cephiro… If it meant the prevention of more emotional turmoil the Magic Knights were already dealt with…
The jewel on his staff began to glow as he spoke the following words.
“Creature, I summon thee…!”
