ETRAYA HANDWAVE CR MEME

Hello everyone! As some Handwave Memes are making the rounds, it felt like the best time to toss one out at Etraya Proper, especially since we're all living in a bubble here, pretty shoulder-by-shoulders even as both the populace & locations are booming. This is for all those lovely things that happen off-screen between missions and mingles and catch-alls, where you bump shoulders and pass people on the streets in the daily-life portion of everything.

Fill out as much or as little of the form you'd like, tag around, build up more handwave CR details with others, toss out questions for people under their responses, and track down some answers about other characters you've been dying to know. Have fun out there!

Character Name: Robert "Hob" Gadling

Canon/Canon Point/Your People: Hob is taken from the end of season 1 of Netflix's The Sandman. Comic lore is used for his background along with some added head canon to fill in 600 years of his life. His is a modern Earth setting. Except for certain individuals, most people are unaware of the magic, gods, and other supernatural things that exist. Hob is presently the only one left from his canon in the game. Overall, I believe most people find Hob to be a kind, friendly individual.

Residency: Hob lives in the general apartment complex where most new people reside. He's perfectly happy there. He does not have any pets. On days when they're not on a mission and living their normal lives, he does go out often and brings home things like food and books to read, as well as music to listen to. He's probably collected quite a few records at this point. In addition, he goes for daily walks at the same time with Loki Laufeyson, and they have spent considerable time with each other both in and out of their apartments. It's safe to presume they're romantically involved.

Occupation: Hob has no occupation in Etraya. He does participate in missions to the best of his ability, but he lacks powers to assist him with those efforts.

Commonly found at: Hob is most frequently at home, at the library, or in various bookshops. He likes to take coffee in cafes and enjoys a beer in the evening at local bars. He may be found in Loki's company.

Hobbies: As expected, Hob likes to read. He joined the book club Mayuko advertised. He also likes music and sometimes it can be heard from his flat. Mostly tunes from Earth's 1960s - 1980s.

Casual Interactions: Hob is very friendly and approachable. He's got a gentle way about him that might put someone else at ease. He's also kind to anyone he encounters and is fairly perceptive when it comes to people. He will happily small talk all you'd like!

Love ‘Em or Leave ‘Em: Hob is friendly to everyone but he's obviously closest with Loki. It would take a lot to make Hob someone's enemy.

Etraya, Aurora, & Echo: Hob first arrived in June 2024! He's gotten used to everything, but despite it, he's still not sure how much he can trust Echo and Aurora. Since there's nothing he can directly do about leaving, he participates and hopes that his efforts will mean something. Hob doesn't think he's the best choice to save his world compared to others he knows, but he's trying!

Canon/Canon Point/Your People: From the March 2024 era of Batverse DC Comics, directly from Nightwing, but including her concurrent appearances in Batman, Detective Comics, Batgirls, Titans, and Birds of Prey. It was the most recent point when she was apped initially, but also Tom Taylor's Nightwing run is just so much perfection and a great new reader start even.

Family from her same comics canon: Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson, Tim Drake, and Damian Wayne. Others from DC Media that aren't hers: Bruce Wayne (The Batman Movie), Jason (Wayne Family Adventures), Kirk & Hernan (DCAU Injustice), Crane (Dark Knight Trilogy), Jason (HBOTitans). Her thoughts for all 10 would be a lot. (So, if you're one of those people or someone on the outside who would like it, comment below and I'll dig deeper for you.)

I… don't think there's a whole lot of buzz on the Comics Waynes, so much as there's some Bat-Fam buzz occasionally. Especially the Bats & Zaunites Dramas last month. Their youngest is SUPER SPICY.

Residency: Barbara's up until a month ago was only the Gotham Clock Tower, but now—with the return of Dick, Bruce, and fiesty baby!Damian—it's become like 75-80% the Wayne Manor and 15-20% Clocktower when she's worked too late (& yes, she does that a lot). Bruce, WFA!Jason and Tim all live full-time in the central location, Dick most often matches hers. There are so many pets in the Manor. (Re: Damian's Menagerie) Barbara & Dick have the smallest, adorable, three-legged bulldog named Haley. She does need walking, and Babs and Dick both do it individually and separately. I am open to people meeting Babs and Haley casually or in passing this way.

Occupation: 


1. Barbara: Not in school; genius; Mensa member; has 4 degrees (Computer Science & Data Retrieval, 2 Law degrees, Forensic Science, & Library Research Graduate hours); currently working part-time as Mr. Finch's librarian. She's the one working on your digital library resources acquisition right now. || Coworkers: John (Book Shelving), Shaw (Guard) || Location: Alecandrea's Wake (Close to the Apartments, Grandage Place, CorrineCaféafe, The Maximum, and The Hospital)

2. Batgirl: Straight-Up Superhero. Appears during missions, but isn't seen much otherwise. Last year, she was seen swinging around Nova more than she has been lately. Often cheerful and amiable while engaging with others outside of dangerous situations. Exceptional martial artist and extremely graceful due to a past focusing on ballet and gymnastics, as well. Does not shy away from a hard fight, especially if you get her temper going.

3. Oracle: Has only ever been seen on the Network. It is not connected to Barbara Gordon, Batgirl, the Batfamily, or anyone of note outside of "those who are willing to fight for all worlds." She's her world's greatest hacker and information broker, who is in nearly every system worldwide, has purloined a dozen satellites, and can take over all video, radio, and technology worldwide in about five minutes. Back home, before coming, she was setting up the tech and communications for the Justice League Space Station.


Commonly found at: Publically, Barbara can be found often at the Library, as well as anywhere she can get a good cup of coffee on the go (including CorrineCaféaféCaféafé Millenia). She's 100% the type of person to compliment you on a great top or outfit accessory piece in passing while waiting for her cup. Predominantly, the rest of the time, she's very scarce (which usually means she's either working in the Gotham Clocktower or at home in the Manor).

Hobbies: .... fighting c r i m e? Barbara Gordon doesn't know what a hobby is outside of reading books. Having an adorable dog that gets her out of the house. (And constantly refining the Oracle System/Bat Cave Computers.) Maybe she needs more hobbies—even if she will FITE you on it and tell you she's fine.

Casual Interactions: Barbara is generally friendly at first blush: calm, kind, conversational. She'll nod or call out a good morning passing someone while walking Haley, or get into a conversation with someone nearby while in line (especially if they start it). She'd hold open a door for someone carrying a lot of stuff, and rather than giving you audible directions, she'd quickly ping your HUB an updated map with your trajectory marked out in easy-to-follow instructions, with coinciding visuals, and wish you good luck.

Love ‘Em or Leave ‘Em: The Wayne Family, the library staff & those who visit the library often. I've been loving the good bit of the cross-canon that came from last month's Chirper, where she got around to hitting up almost every single person's book answers. (Questionable Persons/Places Being Watched: The Injustice Tower's Duo, Arkham's Good Doctor, and the Zaunites, esp. Silco & Jinx)

Etraya, Aurora, & Echo: Barbara showed up in April 2024, and has been through everything except the first mission. Babs is still deeeeeeply not comfortable with Etraya, Echo, and Aurora; though she had stood by her word and stopped hacking Aurora's/Etraya's mainframe. (Yes, it's a very hypocritical 'who watches the watcher's' type thing, given she's stalking as much of this place as possible, and she knows Aurora can/does see all of her actions.) Mostly, at a year and some change, a weird restlessness settles in, as nothing specific about their mandate has happened, changed, or been achieved.

Questions for Other Players/Characters: I'm totally leaving it for Liv, as the owner of the Library Location, but (1) I'd love to get a general idea of regular library patrson and/or book club attendees & (2) Babs is going to need people for scanning the books into the new digital catalog she made, so if that's something your character would like????

Free Space to Fill: Babs-as-Oracle is DEEP IN YOUR DM's, and there have been cameras all over Etraya's public spaces since last year, with another round of them going up in places a few months ago. While she has a very moral grey take on privacy laws not applying to her or breaking them without feeling guilty, all of that data and recording are only used to fight bad things and people. I'm 100% always going to be down to discuss what she is/isn't doing, and often to go with whatever best suits the game & players & the rule of cool when it comes to big things with it.

Age: Physically 19, ~2 in human life experience

Canon/Canon Point/Your People: An Zhe is from the end of Little Mushroom. He has no castmates here, and comes from a science fiction setting where humans are easily susceptible to genetic mutation, meaning he's seen a good number of strangely shaped people by post-canon. As a mushroom who mutated to have a human form, he understands neither science nor magic, so don't much in the way of explanation on that front.

Residency: Living at Garreg Mach! He technically has his own bedroom but often camps out in the greenhouse instead, where Yuri has built him the mushroom equivalent of a birdhouse. (Side note: if you find him in the greenhouse, there's a random chance he might be naked...sadly changing between human and shroom doesn't include the clothes.)

Occupation: An Zhe has no job but does help out with housework around the monastery. On missions he does his best to participate, but he's got low stamina/intelligence/strength/speed and is therefore not particularly useful outside of, like, detail work maybe...

Commonly found at: Mushrooms generally aren't mobile, and he's retained that preference for a sedentary lifestyle, so he spends most of his downtime in or around the monastery. You can catch him running errands in town though, or wandering through various green areas like parks, or sitting somewhere where he can watch the people go by. He's also fascinated by human things, so feel free to catch him exploring markets or messing with toys or attempting to figure out how bicycles work.

Hobbies: An Zhe enjoys cooking, trying new things, people watching, and has recently taken an interest in sewing. He's not particularly creative, but if you gave him a pattern, he could probably do professional-quality embroidery.

Casual Interactions: He's a quiet guy who won't go out of his way to greet people on the street, and he's not particularly great at facial expressions either, but he is extremely nonthreatening and approachable. He's happy to talk to anyone who calls out to him, and speaks with a naturally soft, slightly slow tone. He's also incredibly trusting, with a tendency to value personal experience over what other people say about a person, so the only way you could possibly scare him off would be by holding enough actual ill will towards him that you trigger his instinctive danger senses.

Love ‘Em or Leave ‘Em: An Zhe's been gradually growing a small network of friends and/or friendly acquaintances. He likes people! He's learning how to communicate! He knows a couple board games! Please befriend him.

Etraya, Aurora, & Echo: An Zhe arrived in January this year! He has no real reason to doubt what he was originally told, and does his best to help in that respect. Being an adaptable mushroom, he settled in pretty quickly, but he does miss his favorite colonel back home, and brings him up in conversation ever so often.

Free Space to Fill: Have you read Animorphs? An Zhe is basically an Animorph. He hasn't tried to obtain DNA from anyone in Etraya, but theoretically, if you're interested...there could be two of you running around town. (He won't go for anyone who doesn't meet his aesthetic standards, though.)

Character Name: Shiraki Mayuko (familyname givenname). Her nickname is Mayu but nobody’s gotten that S-link level yet.
Network UN: tsundoku. (AKA that person who has stacks of books lying around that they haven’t read, and yet buy/collect more)
Age: Late 20’s

Canon/Canon Point/Your People:

Mayuko’s canon is Fruits Basket--a shoujo manga/anime that debuted in 1998. Orphaned high-schooler (Honda Tohru) finds a new home with members of a cursed family. Found-family and mild romance hijinks ensue! Mayuko is a teacher at the high school several characters attend, and the homeroom teacher for the main trio of Tohru, Sohma Yuki and Sohma Kyo.

Mayuko’s canonpoint is from around Volume 13 (out of 23). I do not play her from the NEW version of the anime that released, so I reckon she is from Earth 1999 C.E. She is a CRAU character who had a big cast in her first Dreamwidth game who shared tiny spoilers about canon and what the future holds. Yes, she found out about the Sohma curse and in fact places a higher priority to protect that info over any information about herself.

Of note: Etraya is Mayuko’s third jamjar game. She was in CFUD (zombie summer camp horror/comedy game set on an Earth) from the end of 2008 to mid-2013. She got sent home, then was pulled into Sidereal (a more sandboxy game focused on creating bonds with others). As that game has closed, I can say she got pulled to Etraya about a year into her stay in Sidereal, and will be sent back eventually to complete Sidereal.

I don’t know what characters’ impressions are of Mayu--that’s what I’m hoping to find out through the meme! But I imagine people assume that she’s a total noncombatant from a peaceful world???


Residency:

Mayuko is residing in the general apartments! She lives with her toad familiar (Genji, might be poisonous, understands speech from Etrayans), and her cat (Daichi, big fluffy white cat with orange splotches, not the brightest but very friendly), but no other Etrayans. Both animals roam outside, but stay on Alexandrea’s Wake island.

Roaming the wilds are two green chocobos that she is taming/training: Katsu(rou) and Hatsu(e). Nervous Hatsu is more of a racing chocobo, while the larger Katsu is a temperamental fighting-companion type. They might be seen with basic tack that Mayuko has gotten from the Gold Saucer (something like this), and she is learning how to ride and take care of them. (She forgot about the Gold Saucer trading card mission and is spending all her GSpoints on rolling decent bardings, oops)


Occupation:

Mayuko had serious jobs in her previous games (librarian and manager of a mess hall/community kitchen), but as of July 2025, she hasn’t tied herself to one in Etraya yet. No niche, nothing so far that would define her, so to speak.

She has organized and run a session of a book club, which was well-received! She tutors Heather in literature. She is open to helping at the library but understandably does NOT want to be the main librarian again. Also might help with chocobo-handling-- she is still learning, herself, but she’ll try! She is keen to improve her skills (she’s taken up the chocobos and archery, and is using the Coliseum and still-terrifying Leap of Faith while the Gold Saucer remains); so far, training is her job.


Commonly found at: The library and bookstore. She likes the Camp Etraya area and might maintain Armadillo Cabin/use the archery range. She has been exploring more ever since the chocobos arrived but she tends to stick to the western side of Etraya unless she’s looking for WFA!Jason.

Oh, and she loves the new Japanese 7-11. A++ addition.


Hobbies: Mayuko’s main hobby is reading--it is why she initiated Book Club. She works out and trains various skills. As mentioned above, she is more comfortable roaming the islands now than when she first arrived. Any number of her animals could be with her outside.She’s also interested in chocobos!


Love ‘Em or Leave ‘Em:

She is most attached to WFA!Jason--she knows another (DCAU post-Under The Red Hood/younger) Jason back in Sidereal, but likes this one as his own person. He’s missing his people from home; Mayuko gets that and wants to keep on supporting him. She views Dylan, Heather, Chrissy and the Bad Kids as “students” to advise as needed, and is concerned for Laura (and new kid Vivi). Looking through her thread log, most people she’s interacted with, she has positive impressions of!

John had a rough first meeting with Mayuko on the train, but at this point, she’s recognized her own fault in overreacting. She got a tarot reading off of Vincent and is quite satisfied to leave it at that. Silco, though… she remembers the rebellion shit he stirred up on the train. 100% will not trust him.


Etraya, Aurora, & Echo:

Mayuko arrived in Etraya during the wizard library TDM. She is still very unsure about what Echo is up to, and thinks that Aurora is doing her best managing Etraya? She hasn’t turned them all into My Little Ponies for two weeks, she’s already doing a lot better than SOME overseers.

Mayuko’s first missions were the Train (in the DREGS, the lowest-ranked section) and Aphaia, which were difficult draws! As such, she views missions negatively and with apprehension. Hence why she’s diversifying her skill set so hard....

Also, Barbara checking in now and again as to whether Mayuko's spotted the (mythical, legendary) Red Chocobo again once she knows about this fascination (even if not about the dream to tame it), Y/Y or Y/N?

Canon/Canon Point/Your People: Loki is from the MCU and I've taken him from the end of season 2 of his show. For those non-fans out there, this means that Loki is redeemed and had sacrificed himself to ensure the survival of the multiverse, though he is not dead. He's sitting on a throne outside of time ensuring that each timeline does not accidentally (or not so accidentally) take out another. Since he's been outside of time, he doesn't really know how long he's been doing this, but it feels like he's been alone for an eternity. This means he both wants friends and he's not always sure how to deal with people. Good news though, he's no longer the type to take over the world or kill people. Bonus, right?

Residency: Loki has a standard apartment in the complex. It's nice enough, nothing like he had when he was a prince, but comfortable and homey and better than sitting alone on his throne. When he's not home, he can be found out, often with Mr. Hob Gadling and it might be noticed that sometimes they spend the entire night together. He might be secretly considering asking him if they might move in together. He also wouldn't mind getting a cat at some point, but has no pets at this time.

Occupation: Loki has never worked an actual job, unless you count his time working for the Time Variance Authority, but he wasn't paid so he doesn't think of it that way. He does participate in missions, but he hasn't not been putting his all into it. Since he's been spending who knows how long saving all the timelines, he's skeptical that Etraya is really doing what they claim to be doing. But he doesn't mind helping people out.

Commonly found at: Loki is a big fan of being outside and nature. He's been considering trying to grow his own vegetables. He's also found he quite enjoys cooking, but you can still find him out at the local eateries when he's not home cooking for his favourite person. You can find him pretty much everywhere Hob goes, especially the library and the pub for a drink, but you can also find him wandering Etraya on his own.

Hobbies: Loki has come to enjoy gardening and cooking. He also is an avid reader and has attended the book club at least once.

Casual Interactions: Think demeanor: Though he hasn't really put himself out there in Etraya, Loki is a social being and would like to make more friends. It's not something he's overly confident with considering before Etraya he's really only had a handful of friends at best. He's friendly enough now, but he is still a (former) prince and might sometimes come off as rude, but he has limited interactions with humans in general, so he's really still learning what's seen as acceptable. Of course, if you anger him, he won't care and will tell you off without shame or care.

Love ‘Em or Leave ‘Em: He's obviously closest with Hob and spends most of his time with him, but he's happy to meet and speak with anyone. He's had a few interactions with Gorgug, Scott Summers and a few others, but he's mostly kept to himself otherwise.

Etraya, Aurora, & Echo: Loki has been in Etraya since, I think, August 2024? And despite not believing in what this world is claiming to do (it was BS the last time someone tried to feed him this line, and he thinks it's BS this time too), he's actually been enjoying himself. He's so happy to have met Hob and now his brother is here and doesn't hate him, so this might just be why he's not trying so hard with the missions.

Questions for Other Players/Characters: Nothing I can think of off hand, but if anyone wants some (more) interactions with Loki, he'll be happy to meet you or meet you again. Conversely, he's also fine if you hate him.

Canon/Canon Point/Your People: Robert is from late 2003, he's from ER, a groundbreaking medical drama that ran for 15 seasons starting in 1994. Some of it has aged okayish.

The internet is brand new, he still has a pager, wikipedia doesn't exist yet. HOWEVER!! Robert was one of the Solmara infiltrates, which means before coming to Etraya he spent a few months in Solmara, a bubble city that was being run by a dictator. He had a terrible time back there, but also he learned some lingo and more modern tech.

Residency: Robert is living at the hospital, he commandeered one of the bedrooms upstairs and he's been spending all of his free time teaching the helper bots how to be more helpful. He's given name tags to all of them to make his own life easier.

He goes for a run every morning, and he occasionally buys groceries. He uses the hospital's cafeteria and kitchen to cook.

Occupation: Other than being the local non-magical medical doctor, he usually tries to participate on missions and stuff that gives him extra points. He likes having a stockpile in case something comes up.

At the moment he's stockpiling points so he can add a wing to treat magical maladies to the hospital. He has not mentioned this to anyone and he's unlikely to until he gets it.

Commonly found at: He spends most of his time at the hospital and odds are anyone who visits will run into him. Other than that, he takes strolls at the park and will occasionally visit a coffee shop or something.

Hobbies: He will chill at the park or coffee shops to read and stuff, there's a few people he likes, and perhaps one booty call he absolutely doesn't want to think about, but he doesn't seek out company often. He will be tolerant of people he considers smart, women with curly hair and British accents, and teens and kids, especially if they're trying to be helpful.

Casual Interactions: Robert comes off as an arrogant dick, but when it comes to medicine he's one that absolutely knows what he's doing. Anyone coming to the hospital for first-aid or medical advice will get whatever they need though he might be mean and condescending about it.

Small talk outside of learning how an injury or illness happened will be plentiful because he finds other worlds and tech and mythologies interesting, but he won't want to share any personal details except if asked, he'll tell people he lost his arm in an aircraft-related accident, and he'll be very open about knowing he died back home.

Anyone okayish at reading people will be able to tell he does care, he's just a dick about it.

Love ‘Em or Leave ‘Em: Connor is another Solmaran, they used to work together at a clinic there before they were sent to Etraya as spies. He likes Jayce, who's building him an arm, and he's on "friendly" terms with Cid. (He will not admit to this and will change the topic if asked about it), he thinks Harold Finch is fun, and he's mildly concerned about the influx of fast squirrels. (Sorry again, Sonic cast)

He thinks Barnabas is terrible and, though as far as he knows the guy's name is Joss Sweden. On the network if he's around and someone mentions something bad having happened, he will say something along the lines of "I can't believe Joss Sweden would do this."

Etraya, Aurora, & Echo: Robert has been in Etraya since February and in this universe since November or so, and because he lived in a shittier bubble first, he thinks Etraya is great and he likes it. He died back home, knows there's no way back for him, and he's trying to make the best of it.

He likes Aurora a lot because she's kind and useful unlike her shitty shut-in brother, Borealis. He does not like Echo and he's pretty sure this whole thing is some kind of interdimensional zoo or purgatory or weird reality show. But he's one one-armed dude without superpowers so what's he gonna do about it?

Canon/Canon Point/Your People: A Certain Magical Index. Canon point is end of Genesis Testament 12. Accelerator is a LCW, and the important things to note about his canon is that he's from a walled city that's decades ahead of the rest of his world in terms of science and tech, magic exists, gods exist, and nearly every problem in the series has been caused by infamous occult sex magician Aleister Crowley. In fact, the author mainly based a lot of the magic/science systems on Crowley's writings. Espers are just math magicians, and anyone can become God through self-realization and following their True Will, baybeeee.

From what I've seen I think other characters see Accelerator as antisocial, a jerk or a troubled kid.

Residency: Accelerator lives in a starter apartment with Laura and one eastern screech owl he acquired in April named Hino Kumazo. He mostly lets the owl do her own thing, so she's in and out. He gets groceries for himself and Laura at the 7-11 and Kwik Trip, and the diner. He doesn't cook and eats trash, so he basically only buys the two of them snacks and prepackaged food (he at least makes sure Laura is eating vegetables).

And canned coffee. He has a whole unhealthy ritual involving canned coffee, where he buys and chugs only one brand for weeks on end, then gets sick of it and suddenly switches to something else. His favourite is BOSS Black.

Occupation: Accelerator grudgingly does missions since he doesn't want to risk his universe being destroyed, as he feels incredibly responsible for the well being of all the kids in his city.

Back home he was in the 10th grade before dropping out due to his participation in an experiment that involved him killing over 10 000 clones. For a little while he was registered at the top high school in Academy City as a cover, so he never actually attended, and before he could legitimately go back to school he was given the position of the head of the entire city. Then he handed himself over to law enforcement as part of an effort to clean up the dark side and went to prison, so his current status is that he's the Board Chairman and running the city from his prison cell.

In Etraya he's going to be restarting a safe space thing for kids under 18 at Ramsey Farm in August. He's going to be spending time working on that.

Commonly found at: Accelerator is at his and Laura's apartment sleeping a lot, but he can sometimes he found at the Library. It is likely his favourite place in Etraya because it's quiet and there are books to read. He also pops into S.T.A.R. Labs every so often to check on the particle accelerator and make sure no one is messing around with it, and sometimes says hi to Viktor and Jayce. Sometimes he also goes to the Shooting Range to practice with his handgun. When he's feeling homesick he goes and drinks coffee on a random skyscraper in Nova City, since it's the closest thing to Academy City. He's going to start stopping by the Hall of Aperion where Vincent's church is, and in August he'll be found hanging around Ramsey Farm.

Hobbies: Reading and sleeping. He's a depressed little guy! And since he isn't sociable, he isn't inclined to pick up social hobbies. He's got a gun, but that's out of necessity so he doesn't consider practicing with it as a hobby.

Casual Interactions: Accelerator is surly, antisocial and has a perpetual scowl on his face, none of which make him very approachable. He isn't all that good at small talk and doesn't do it often, and can come across as abrasive since he curses like a sailor and insults people on the regular. I should note he gives younger kids far, faaaaaaar more leeway than his peers and adults. A small child can push him over and he won't do much about it. He is seriously parental and it's one of my favourite aspects of his character, so I am always down for him to babysit.

Love ‘Em or Leave ‘Em: Harold Finch has pretty much become a surrogate dad to him and is the one adult he really trusts in Etraya. To a lesser extent he also trusts John Reese and Sameen Shaw. He likes Viktor and Jayce Talis, though he and Jayce butt heads sometimes because of their personalities. He's offered to be Jayce's contingency plan in case he ever goes off the rails and Viktor isn't around. He notably doesn't like Vincent, but he's opened up to him more than he has with most people.

Laura reminds him a lot of his canon found family baby sister Last Order. He likes her a lot and is very protective of her. Fio, similarly, is someone he's protective of because she's a sweet little kid. Damian is likely going to end up falling under that umbrella too (minus the sweet lmaoooo) since he is now baby. Prior to Damian's canon change, they had an agreement that Accelerator would be a contingency plan for Superman.

Etraya, Aurora, & Echo: Accelerator arrived in April 2024! He's mostly rolled with the punches when it comes to the multiverse; being a quantum physics supergenius and generally aware of pop culture the fact that different universes exist doesn't surprise him. Whether he finds the missions easy depends on the level of sociability required, and he hates the mingles. He went home recently and it was terrible, so he's dealing with some complicated feelings about that but aside from a comment on Chirper has only opened up privately about it.

He doesn't particularly like being in Etraya, mainly because he has so many responsibilities back home he wants to get back to, though he's made some connections here that are very, very important to him. Regarding Aurora, Accelerator is hugely biased towards artificial life and he's known Aurora a while, so he likes her! He's inclined to give her the benefit of the doubt when it comes to Etraya and Echo stuff, and he gets concerned over her wellbeing. Definitely part of the Aurora fanclub. Finally, regarding Echo, he thinks Echo is extremely sus and has a general dislike of gods, since his experiences with them back home were always terrible and/or annoying. However, after learning that Echo loses part of themselves whenever they bring in or send out someone, he's a little more... not so much sympathetic, but understanding that Echo may not have full control of themselves or even have a sense of self anymore.

Questions for Other Players/Characters: Nothing I can think of!

Free Space to Fill: Accelerator is a child experiment who has been through some really horrendous stuff and has done some equally horrendous things in turn to other people (see: mass murder, torture). He harbours a lot of guilt and self-loathing, and a desire to make up for what he did. As an FYI he does not respond well to people being sympathetic towards his tragic backstory or acting like it excuses him in any way, and he generally gets prickly if that's so much as hinted at.

He's got an absolutely ridiculous powerset and has done some hilarious feats, including slowing the rotation of the Earth down by 5 minutes during a temper tantrum (and doing it without murdering the whole planet), communication and surveillance using rain, breaking a magical contract via 'fuck you this has vectors now,' beating up a literal god and altering cosmic law (with help). His soul is also sitting in a weird place in the Tree of Sephiroth compared to other people because he's crossed the Abyss.

In-game, he died during the suburban event in Eos's city, and his death loss was his memories of what his two canon guardians looked like. This isn't something he's really dealt with emotionally because he's been content to just blame himself for it happening. He was also tangentially involved with the Arcane gemstone stuff: Damian had asked him for help in recovering and destroying the gemstone if it proved too dangerous. As of right now he isn't making any moves because Jayce asked him not to, but he thinks the gemstone should be back with Jayce and Viktor.

He is specifically post issue 1092. He's got a good chunk of his family in game. Namely, Dick Grayson, Jason Todd x2, Barbara Gordon, Damian Wayne, and Tim Drake. There's a younger version of him and an alternate version of him around too. But Bruce doesn't trust either of them.

Residency: He currently has plans to move into Wayne Manor and will also be setting up two safe houses in Nova City. One will be in Nova City North to keep an eye on the Tower of Justice, the other will be in the Nova City South near Big Belly Burger. The other Bats mostly live at the manor, alongside all of the animals Damian has collected.

Occupation: Bruce has just arrived. He has no intentions of getting a job. He's mostly going to be keeping an eye on things from behind the scenes and trying to figure out what's going on with the AI. He's building himself a computer too, but that's under wraps.

Commonly found at: He's mostly into staying out of sight at the moment. Sort of a ghost around Etraya, because he's not particularly sociable. When he is pretending to be sociable, you'll most likely find him mingling around either of the cafes or Rocky's Bar(cade).

Hobbies: Bruce's only hobbies are alienating his family and dispensing JUSTICE.
Casual Interactions: Bruce is ultimately a very standoffish person and is not one for small talk or casual interactions. Even when he's playing up the playboy thing there's always a motive behind it and that's usually gathering information and he can turn it on and off like a light switch.

Vivi here is from Final Fantasy IX. He's not the only character here from the series in general, so has....uh, pseudo castmates??? ish??? if that counts??? But yeah, he is the only little guy here from IX in particular. He's from near the end of the game, at the Lifa Tree before the timeskip epilogue (obviously, sob.) He just got here recently. But he has probably made an impression, given how distinctive black mages look. Which is to say that people are probably alternatively creeped out or find him adorable. The other black mages have not been used to attack here, so people, at least, aren't scared of him because of that, like back home.

Residency:

He just got here, so probably just crashing in whatever accommodation is initially provided for him so far, unless anyone wants to take in one baby mage. He has no pets, but nobody is gonna be surprised if he kinda semi adopts one of the chocobos at some point lbr. He's probably keen to try new foods, if only so he can then tell Quina all about the new dishes whenever he next sees them.

Occupation:

He does not yet have a job, but he will prob want to help out somehow. So it's probably a matter of time before he figures something.

Vivi is clumsy but easily lovable. He is not quite as timid and shy as he was at the start of the game after having come through his journey with his friends and their influence and reassurance, their support. He would wave and greet someone if he knew them and recognized them when out, would hold a door open, and give directions if asked if he knew the way.

He happens to have come in at the same time his canonmates exited. In his world he's revered as a hero and a celebrity as the number two, but he's perfectly fine not being recognized. It's nice not to deal with all the fluff that takes away from what he wants to actually do - help people. You can't miss him, he has huge wings on his back. His full wingspan is probably about 20 feet, considering the bones sit up well above his head so that his wings don't drag on the ground.

Residency: Hawks will be living at one of the apartments for newbies, preferably one with a balcony, but he can work with a window if he needs to. He has very odd priorities when it comes to life skill and so he can't cook at all, he can be seen bringing in prepared food constantly, otherwise he wouldn't eat. Meat dishes and coffee, that's all he wants. It's hard to catch him home since he'd only go there for sleep and maybe food.

Occupation: He's brand new but he plans on sticking his nose where it doesn't belong, and also being a hero. Find yourself dropping something? You don't even need to see him, he's probably in the air, but if a feather catches your missing item and returns it to you - it was Hawks.

Commonly found at: At the moment he will probably be found in the air, or perching on various rooftops, as long as no one's watching him do that he can get away with it.

Hobbies: Hawks is not acquainted with hobbies at all. He's never done one in his life. So I guess his hobby is work.

Casual Interactions: Hawks is incredibly open-seeming. He's friendly, cheerful, he'll wave and greet people with no problem. It's when conversations start going on too long that things start to get weird, where he doesn't necessarily know what he should.

Love ‘Em or Leave ‘Em: His goal is to meet people, start a rapport so he can get information from them later. It would be nice if he could make friends. Teach him how to get along with people for real.

Etraya, Aurora, & Echo: Hawks has been in Etraya for about five minutes. He doesn't trust Aurora's words and has no opinion yet on Echo. Investigation is required.

As long as Hawks keeps things superficial and light, everything will be fine, but things are not okay with him. Despite appearances his history is dark. He is not a free man, he's owned by a bureaucratic entity because he was trafficked into it. He's also an assassin and a spy for that entity. Hawks is not exactly in agreement with these actions, but his cage is tight. So there is that.

Canon/Canon Point/Your People: Kaeya is from the hoyo gacha game Genshin Impact. His canon points to the summer event Summertime Scales and Tales. It was his last appearance in canon and showed a much more relaxed canon compared to the point before that. I felt it would let him integrate better. He is the only one from his canon at present. I imagine to most of Etraya, he is a casually friendly ghost. Sometimes seen with a purple chocobo. It might be easy to think he isn't a fan of social situations at present.

Residency: He was living in an apartment not far from the central part of Etraya. He's since moved closer to the edge of the center. He has to attend to his chocobo buddy Frida. The said bird roams freely, but they goes for rides in the morning and evening. His apartment is where he lives. But it isn't home. Home isn't in Etraya. He deliberately chose a place away from other places. He doesn't need to restock too often. But when he does, he tends to go for meat, veggies, and some alcohol. He can be seen passing through pretty much anywhere that is public.

Occupation: So far, Kaeya has been on every mission available since he got here. He doesn't work in the city, but he has been tracking changes and making maps. One might see him in the distance doing just that. He knows what businesses are located near his residence and makes sure to familiarize himself with places that are good for social meetings and hangouts.

Commonly found at: Tends to be anywhere. Sometimes with his bird, and sometimes not. He's been pretty much a loner in some ways. He is easy to meet casually, harder to meet intentionally. He greets anyone he meets with a friendly manner. One can even get him to chat, but when it's time to go. He will bid farewell and go. He's been making use of his befriending and taming a chocobo to get where he needs to. Frida is a well-cared-for bird. He can also be found tracking wildlife and doing an environmental survey.

Hobbies: Card games, mixing drinks, and cartography. ...and more recently seems to be writing something. Whatever he's writing, he isn't sharing that part of it. But he's more than happy to hang out and play a card game with others. He's a smart player and will not miss details, nor will he overlook how other people conduct themselves during the game. He seems to be a laid-back kind of person when playing games or at a bar.

Casual Interactions: Generally confident, friendly smile, seems a bit self-assured but in that charming kind of way. He's the sort to greet people with a nod or a little wave. If asked for directions, he provides detailed instructions without intruding on the person or making unsolicited suggestions. Getting small talk out of him is pretty easy. Just don't expect him to share anything about himself.

Love ‘Em or Leave ‘Em: Kaeya has a small tight circle of cr. It has been growing a bit as of this month. He hasn't shared much with any of them except for Gorgug and Verso. Even then it is tidbits. He's been very focused on digging into the mysteries of their circumstances. All in all, things are fine in his social network. The loss of Lumine has left him a little adrift without people who truly know him past the masks his presents to the world.

Etraya, Aurora, & Echo: He is of the mind that there is more going on than is being said. His views of the Aurora and Echo are neutral. If they are speaking true then the problem he has carried since he was a boy is solved. If not, the next steps need to be decided. He seeks the truth of the situation and then will come to a conclusion. But he has zero tolerance for the kidnappings to bring them here itself. He arrived shortly before the dying world mission.

He has openly discussed with people that he thinks they should find out the truth. It won't be a pretty thing but, being ignorant won't make happy endings either. However, those talks I prefer to have in threads not handwaved. He is struggling to adjust to this utter lull compared to how busy he was at home. Loneliness is a weight but he aint giving anyone a hint he has been suffering from that.

Questions for Other Players/Characters: Honestly, the biggest thing I want to know is how many have been eying the trolley and considering how to make it better for Etraya. Mysteries and all wise, Gorgug has been solid as hell on helping Kaeya get up to speed.

Canon/Canon Point/Your People: Luffy is from a fun pirate anime about seeking the greatest treasure to become pirate king while simultaneously topping tyranny and the World Government : One Piece. Specifically for those that know canon, he's from smack dab in the middle of Whole Cake Island, and was getting ready to crash a wedding before coming here.

His older brother-by-bond Ace is also here and Luffy is very much glad to have him around and is trying Not to be Worried and Protective for Reasons. Luffy is a chaos agent and honestly people from the outside that see that and decide not to look deeper might think then all crazy. But Luffy has a heart of gold when it comes to his friends and the innocent so...get to know him and you'll either love him or hate him.

Residency: Luffy is used to a ship and the sea, you know...being mobile and on the move. So he crashes wherever he lands for the night and it's rarely the same place twice.

Occupation: Luffy absolutely participates in missions, both for the adventure and the end goal of proving his home worth saving (though he still thinks that's stupid and there should be a way to save them all). When he's not doing that he's doing odd jobs and helping people out. Or gorging himself on food to the shock and possible disgust of passerbys with just how much he can pack away.

Commonly found at: Anywhere that is known to serve food, though he is particularly enchanted with the 7-11 and Snake Islands's WcDonalds for some reason. Sometimes he's in the catacombs because he finds it neat and maybe if he's lucky Brook might pop up there one day (Luffy logic: bones call to bones).

Hobbies: His interests back home were solely finding the One Piece and bugs. He's not big on history so the other worlds aren't a big focus, but he loves meeting new people in general--sorry if he finds you cool because you will be asked to join his crew.

Casual Interactions: Luffy is a ray of sunshine. Usually found with a wide grin and a boisterous, friendly attitude. This guy can be loud and rambunctious, but he means well. Unless you're purposefully harming others, he'll be welcoming and friendly and willing to strike up a conversation. If you chance upon him while he's eating though...he is a literal human vacuum, maintaining distance is advised.

Love ‘Em or Leave ‘Em: Luffy loves his friends and his brothers. Honestly it mostly comes across as strictly platonic, but he will be your Ride-or-Die. His loyalty is unmatched.

Etraya, Aurora, & Echo:
Luffy has been in Etraya since December so half a year and some change! He's adjusted well enough, mostly because he takes things in stride and treats it as another adventure along the way to finding the One Piece back home. He has a generally positive opinion of everyone, but this idea that not ever world can be saved--that some are worth saving more than others--kind of pisses him off and he's not afraid to be very vocal about that if it's brought up explicitly.

How would your character react to a person that's rubber? Luffy forgets not everyone knows him or his powers so he'll randomly slingshot himself around, or stretch his arm across the room to grab what (or who) he wants.

Canon/Canon Point/Your People: Rosie is an OC! She's from a canon point though where she thinks she died. As a result, she tends to kind of be a bit 'live life to the fullest' mentality and can be impulsive, reckless, and swept up in things. She's the only one that she knows from her world but does love meeting people also from Japan.

Residency: Rosie took over the MUTEN-ICHI-RYŪ DŌJŌ in Rin's absence. She lives there with a handful of chickens, her black Borzoi named Smokey, and has been trying to see about how to get a chocobo. When left to her own devices, she does love having a zoo. She loves finding fellow dog owners for play dates. Otherwise, her place is free to the public for people to use for training. There's a lot of superhero types, she knows, who need to keep their skills sharp so she's happy to provide a space.

Occupation: She enjoys doing the quests/missions, but worries she's not... done very good at them and that might be holding things back. As a result, she gets a bit anxious about doing a good job on them and might get a little too wrapped up in it all. Otherwise, she's been slowly working towards finding a place she can perform musically consistently. Whether her own or someone else's establishment, she's been in the process of writing original lyrics and scores about life in Etraya.

Commonly found at: Her schedule is erratic and inconsistent at best. She kind of operates on her whims, which means she can be found all over! Places she's prone to visiting though are bars to either drink or perform. Sometimes both! She also loves the more natural parts of the bubble city rather than the hustle and bustle of more crowded or populated areas.

Hobbies: Her hobbies are music and the arts in general. She plays guitar (among other instruments) and sings. But, she's also artistically inclined! She's a bit more of a 'chaotic creative' who stops and starts things constantly but at least she isn't afraid to try new things.

Casual Interactions: On the surface, Rose is sunshine personified. She's fun, carefree, and doesn't seem to let much get her down for long. Once people start to get to know her, well- That's the thing! They'll realize they don't really know her. While it might seem like she's extremely open, she isn't actually telling anyone a lot about herself in the process. While she's gotten better at letting folks in, it's still a work in progress.

Love ‘Em or Leave ‘Em: Gorgug is her bestie. She adores Fabian too. Mal is great. While she's made some lasting friendships over the year she's been here, Rosie is unfortunately a bit of a flighty lady. Not intentionally, but it is a bad habit to kind of... drift sometimes! She can go weeks without talking to someone but pick up again like they're old friends at least. Although tragically still single (in her mind, anyway), she's been learning the importance of platonic love and how meaningful those relationships can be.

Etraya, Aurora, & Echo: Etraya is basically her second chance. Since she thinks she's dead, it's sometimes a double-edged sword of wanting to enjoy her time here while simultaneously being terrified of it all ending in an instant. Still, she involves herself where she can either on the mingles and missions and is very social. She thinks Aurora is fine, but a bit intimidating. Rosie needs to talk to her and has for like nine months but keeps putting it off. She doesn't have much of an opinion of Echo beyond them being a bit over her head. She's an artist, not a scientist unfortunately.

Questions for Other Players/Characters: If anyone wants to say they use Rosie's dojo, that's fine with me! We can even use it as a casual/passing CR thing to build on vs the usual small talk introductions. People are also free to recognize her as 'that lady who sometimes sings at x bar' if they'd like.

Free Space to Fill: The last three months have been a lot. I got into a car accident in mid-April that then was a legal/insurance nightmare until nearly the end of May. Then, June was my birthday and like five other people's plus people/friends visiting so it was just a lot. I've been more absent than I've wanted to be, but trying to get back into things regularly (albeit a bit slowly...) so thanks for everyone's patience and understanding!!

Canon/Canon Point/Your People: Stranger Things is your typical "small town in the 80s where spooky things happen" story. Chrissy is pulled from the end of the first episode of season four, "Chapter One: Hellfire Club", from the point just before her death at the hands of Vecna. She's also a CRAU, so she has a year's worth of memories from another game (Come Sail Away).

Chrissy is the only one from her canon in game at present. Mike was around for a little while last year, but has since disappeared. Fio is the only person from her previous game, but she's pulled from canon and has no memories of the other game in general or Chrissy specifically. It's fine.

Residency: Chrissy is currently living alone, and she's generally content to continue doing so. That said, I wouldn't be completely against the idea of her inheriting a roommate at some point. For the most part, she prefers to cook for herself and any guests, but sometimes it's just easier to grab a pizza or something when she's having a lazy day. She tends to bake a lot, so there's always some kind of baked goods chilling on her counter, likely to be passed out later. Most of her shopping is food-related, and she tends to frequent each place equally. She acquired a yellow chocobo during the April mingle (I just need to get back to tagging around here), as well as one of the eggs from the Christmas mingle- it just never hatched.

Occupation: Chrissy does her best to help in missions, despite still feeling like she might not have been the best choice to drag in for this. She also allowed Sophie to volunteer her to help out with NYX- she's mostly cooking (and baking) but she also spends a fair amount of time, on the days she's volunteering, acting as a greeter (because she's friendlier than Sophie).

Commonly found at: Even after the trolley incident, Chrissy still spends a decent amount of time every day (or every other day) holed up on the trolley. Sometimes she brings a book. Sometimes she's just there to watch the scenery.

The library is also another frequent haunt. She's been in game for a little over a year now, and I'd like to think that she's made a sizable dent in her goal of reading every book the library has on offer.

The Diner, Robin Deli, and Rocky's Bar(cade) are favorites as well, each for different reasons. At some point, she's going to discover that the WcDonald's on Etrazim exists and want to check that out for herself. She might or might not con someone into going with her.

It's been a while since her last jaunt over, but she likes to walk around Nova City and see what she can see. Sometimes she just wants to bring food or treats to the stray cats. Sometimes she's just out because she can be. Really, though, Chrissy likes to get out and keep herself busy most of the time, so she can probably be found pretty much anywhere that's public and not someone's actual home. It should also be noted that she's been keeping an eye out when newbies start showing up, in case someone she knows happens to make an appearance.

Hobbies: Chrissy loves to read so much that she dove at the chance to join the book club Mayuko started. And listen to music. She's currently on a mission to consume as many movies (or books, or tv shows) that came out after 1986. There aren't many opportunities for cheerleading, but she's been trying to keep in shape anyway! She goes for daily walks/jogs, works out whenever she can, and takes advantage of any presented opportunity to stay active. Missions are usually really good for this. She's also spent a fair amount of time playing the games at Rocky's- with the express purpose of putting Vance's initials on as many of the machines as she can manage because she thinks he'd appreciate that.

Casual Interactions: Chrissy is friendly and approachable. She's willing to chat and get along with pretty much everyone until or unless they give her a reason to reconsider that. She'll smile and wave at people she's friendly with in passing. Small talk isn't her favorite thing, but it is something she's good at (thanks to having to attend her mother's parties for years). She's more than happy to hold the door for someone, or to uphold any of the countless other politeness rules people might be familiar with, simply because of how she was raised.

Love ‘Em or Leave ‘Em: While she has no family here, Chrissy is superficially friends with pretty much everyone she knows- and genuinely friends with a much smaller number of people. Heather, Mayuko, and Sophie are her closest friends at the moment. Peter and Spider-Man are up there too. Because she has no idea they're the same person.

For better or worse, the person she's most attached to is Jason (Titans flavor). They became friends fairly quickly because he's easy to talk to. His situation is similar to hers in that he doesn't have anyone from his world, and she wants to support him because of that. She also has a big, fat crush that she's mostly ignoring for now because it's obvious that what he needs most right now is a friend. Anyone who might be keeping tabs on what he's up to is welcome to know that he's been to her place a handful of times, but I should note that she's unlikely to answer any direct questions, especially from people she doesn't know.

I'm fairly certain that she's too likable to have made any enemies, but people are welcome to dislike her on principle or for any other number of reasons. Additionally, people are welcome to know that she was the person caught on the trolley as a result of the Hedgehog vs Angry Chocobo battle.

Etraya, Aurora, & Echo: Chrissy has been in game since late June of last year, and even after all this time, she's still not entirely sure how to feel about all of this. As she's told a couple of people, she does question whether or not she was the right choice for The Mission(tm), but she's here. Doing her best. For the most part, she feels like she's at least been able to contribute during missions, and the mingles have been largely enjoyable. Chrissy's generally able to make the best of the situation, so that helps a lot.

Canon/Canon Point/Your People: Clea's from Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and her canon point is completely irrelevant for spoilery reasons. Also for spoilery reasons, only 2 of her castmates know she's even a castmate at all, and they aren't her biggest fans for justified reasons. Other than that, she's just gotten here and so she's pretty alone right now and nobody would have heard much.

Spoilers:

Pretty concerned about the 'Maelle' situation and weirdly concerned about the physical wellbeing (and only physical wellbeing) of this random teenager that doesn't know her at all.

Residency: Clea has technically taken up residence in one of the apartments - whichever available one has the best golden hour lighting. She doesn't spend much time there other than to sleep. She isn't usually seen shopping, preferring to live on fruit, bread, coffee, and bottles of Pinot Noir from the assorted cafes. Which has nothing to do with the fact that she can't cook. Anyone inside of her apartment would the beginnings of several small sculptures, made out of various materials scavanged around Etraya.

Occupation: While Clea is going to play along regarding the 'missions' and 'quests', there will be absolutely no occupation of any kind. She's never had a job before and she sees no reason to start now. Her time is for art. And scheming. But mostly art. Genuinely.

Commonly found at: As much as a cop out as it is, Clea can be found almost anywhere. The buildings and spaces here are fascinating and she can often be found near a structure sketching it (in a frankly terrible quality sketchbook and with Asian stationary picked up from the konbini). She does enjoy expanding her horizons and will be poking around and observing anywhere where she isn't expressly forbidden. She finds herself drawn to the Sector 5 Church, the Nova City Central Station, 海与霜, and the Leafless Valley.

In terms of recurring visits, she spends a fair amount of time at the Library where she devours books on visual art (particularly post 1910) as well as WWI era weaponry and explosives. She does not react well to being interrupted; this is a library. Be quiet and civilized. She's also been known to visit the art exhibition room...and leave absolutely scathing anonymous reviews on the art when nobody else is in the room.

She also spends a disturbing amount of time in the Catacombs and has started adding to the ominous French warnings. Why is she down there? Wouldn't you like to know, weather boy?

Occasionally, she also visits the Maximum for the dance studio, often being found in a state of absolutely scrupulous self-crit, examining herself in the mirrors with a frown despite how graceful the dance looks to onlookers. One might see her wander to the second floor and look at some of the instruments, but she always leaves without picking one to play.

In a basic attempt to not immediately die on missions, Clea will also take up practicing at the Shooting Range if possible, where she makes remarkably quick progress for a woman who says she doesn't fight.

She also will pet, cuddle, and play with the stray cats in Nova City, but only when she thinks nobody is watching.

Hobbies: Clea is a visual art girlie, through and through. She wanders and can frequently be found painting and sketching - most of the art seems to be renditions of Etraya itself, but on occasion one might see her sketching something rather monsterous. Occasionally, pieces of the art seem to move, but perhaps it's a trick of the light?

She can also occasionally be found dancing, working up a sweat to distract herself from her problems. She seems to dance in a style adapted from or closely related to classical ballet.

Casual Interactions: Though she's not particularly approachable given her tendency to look faintly irritated at all times, Clea will respond politely if approached. She'll provide directions if she has them, answer questions, etc, but she's not particularly interested in small talk and frequently does not engage in small niceties (she's not holding the door for you). If she knows you, she may nod to acknowledge your presence.

If for whatever reason you do end up in a conversation with her, it's common for her to ask strange questions ranging from the bizarre to the personal, most of which revolve around art or other aesthetic preferences.

Love ‘Em or Leave ‘Em: Alone and yet not alone. Frankly, she needs as much interaction as she can get.

Etraya, Aurora, & Echo: Extremely unnerved, and has a secret suspicion that there's nothing at all the Etrayan residents can do about any of this. Which for various spoilery reasons brings up a whole host of immensely unpleasant emotions. She won't hide her theory that there's nothing they can do, but she is absolutely hiding that she has very strong personal feelings about being on this side of that equation. She's playing along with the missions for now, though she feels it's likely to be pointless.

The first mutant born after the Scarlet Witch broke things by stating, "No more mutants." The population was decimated, with less than 300 left alive. Hope's birth signaled a possible future for mutants.

Residency: Hope is staying at The Institute w/ the other mutants. She has no ties to the place unlike the others, but it's best to stay in a group.

Occupation: Only what someone might suggest or make her do around the school.

Commonly found at: As much as Hope appreciates the modern comforts, she can most often be found at the shooting range or occasionally roughing it outside the city bubble, practicing her survival skills. Can't get too comfy.

There are obvious trips to the stores for snacks, food, and anything else a girl might need (she needs a bigger gun). Shopping is an experience as long as nothing else happens when she's doing it.

Hobbies: Hobbies? What are these things you speak of? Hope's from a point that mutants have 2 lives. Preparing for a fight or being in the middle of a fight. Seriously, there is nothing else.

Casual Interactions: Hope comes off as a typical teenager. She can be brash, quick-tempered, definitely thinks she knows what she's talking about (and just might), and knows better than you.

There are a lot of times it's obvious she was not raised in a normal, two-parent, stable life. She's 17 going on 50. Cable did the best he could, but he never planned on raising her.

That said, I do try to make her approachable. Or make her approach others in ways that will start something.

Love ‘Em or Leave ‘Em: Okay, so Hope is part of a messy family tree that branches off into the multiverse. She has her same universe step-grandmother (who also counts as her biological father) Jean Grey, a younger AU version of her grandfather (Scott Summers), an AU father (Cable), and her uncle from another AU (Nate Grey).
And then there are the other X "kids" (Jay, Josh, Julian, Sophie, Quintin, and an AU Laura) and the best adult Ororo Munroe.

Etraya, Aurora, & Echo: Hope only arrived recently, but this is seriously just more of the same as home, except with tea parties and camping. Oh, something is trying to kill us? A day ending in y.

Canon/Canon Point/Your People: This iteration of Jason Todd is from the Webtoons series Batman: Wayne Family Adventures. At the moment, he's from the end of season 2 but he may get canon updated to the end of season 3 in the near future. Season 3 was completed only a short while ago.

Jason is currently the only one from WFA specifically but he's also part of the whole mess of DC Comics casts in the game. More specifically, he's part of the BatFamily branch, is a former Robin, and is one of Bruce Wayne's kids. There is also an alternate younger version of Jason here who's from the HBO Titans TV series. He has many thoughts about that.

To an outsider, Jason seems like a normal athletic-looking guy with a snarky sense of humor and who also likes books. Depending on how a character gets to know Jason, he's still a snarky guy who likes books but there's more going on underneath the surface. (Please don't ever ask about his thoughts on clowns).

Residency: Jason's mainly at Wayne Manor. Also at the manor are Bruce Wayne (comics version), Barbara Gordon, Dick Grayson, Damian Wayne, and Tim Drake. There are many pets at the manor and most of them are Damian's. Thanks to an eggs event back in December, Jason himself has an agile and good-natured red-winged blackbird name Steinbeak. Steinbeak builds nests wherever he spends the most time at. Sometimes, Jason can be found out and about following Steinbeak and making sure the little guy doesn't aggravate the wrong person.

Jason also keeps an apartment around just in case he needs a safehouse.

With so many people at the manor, there's always someone around to keep the place well stocked up in something. Probably coffee. Lots and lots of coffee.

Occupation: Not in school. He was murdered by the Joker before he got to finish high school. Then he came back from the dead and canon has not stated if he ever went back to school or if he even has a civilian job. He could an be "adventurer"/vigilante full time for all we know.

Depending on the quest/mission and what needs to be contributed, Jason will either be low-key or more actively involved. In between missions, he's just idling.

Commonly found at: Both bookstores, the library, or the shooting range. He also can be found riding his red motorcycle around a lot of Etraya. Generally he goes alone but he's not against someone casually hitting him up for a chat. He might initiate a conversation if he sees someone looking over an interesting book, is talented as marksmanship, or has a cool vehicle.

Hobbies: Reading, marksmanship, maintaining and modifying his motorcycle however he can. He tends to be an introvert but he's also part of Etraya's book club and is rather content with that.

Casual Interactions: Mostly calm, casual, if sometimes also a little good-natured snarky depending on the conversation. He does lean towards introvert but not hostile unless given a reason to be that way.

Love ‘Em or Leave ‘Em: Most of the BatFamily. To a lesser and more casual degree, fellow book club members and maybe other people who visit the bookstores and library on a regular enough basis.

Jason also has a tentative friendship with Vander that he would really like to keep. The recent BatFam-Zaunite drama was rough and Jason would not like to have a repeat of that. He also definitely doesn't trust Silco and naturally, Crane is forever on the suspicious list.

Etraya, Aurora, & Echo: Jason arrived in Etraya around very late September/early October 2024. After the post-Solmara network post, Jason thinks there might be some truth to what Aurora has told them about saving worlds. How much truth is there is another matter though. He's been doing what he can with the missions but still thinks it's bizarre that Echo would pull certain people (himself included) to world saving on this kind of scale. He's just a guy with a funny helmet and a couple of guns here.

He also feels the multiverse is just so messy in general because of how many alternate family members he has here. It also depressing that a lot of them seem to come from worlds not as happy as his.

Setsu is from Gnosia, a futuristic sci-fi game where Setsu and the player character are trapped in a time loop where they need to gather information about the other characters onboard the ship while also dealing with an alien infection that makes people kill each other. (It's a Werewolf-style game, so imagine a never-ending cycle of Among Us games.) Setsu is from the normal ending, which is the one where only Setsu is trapped in the time loop.

Setsu is a LCW, and they only arrived during this last app round.

Residency:
Setsu lives alone in a regular apartment. There's not a lot in it, but they do have a moogle plush from Verso sitting on their couch, so it looks a little bit homey!

They don't do much in the way of cooking or decorating, so they're currently living off of konbini meals, protein bars, and bottled water.

Occupation:
Back home, Setsu was a soldier! Here, Setsu hasn't bothered to reveal that, and they're currently unemployed. They plan to do missions in the future because it's in their nature to do so and do them properly. (Or as best as they properly can, anyway.)

Commonly found at:
Setsu is currently exploring the city on foot, starting with the streets and then going through the buildings. The setting of Etraya is fascinating to them because it looks like Earth from 1000 years ago, before its environmental decline, which is already eerie without adding in how empty everything is.

Hobbies:
Setsu enjoys fishing, but hasn't actually done any hobby activities yet. :')

Casual Interactions:
From afar, Setsu probably looks pretty serious and focused, straight posture and all. That said, Setsu is friendly enough, and if someone was hanging around long enough or spoke to them, they'd be happy to chat or look around together, etc. I'm happy to handwave casual first meetings like that.

They also don't actually know their way around, and they would resign themself to asking for directions if desperate.

Love ‘Em or Leave ‘Em:
Setsu considers Verso their friend, and they're also fond of Alex. That's pretty much it for their tiny social circle! They look through the network more than they engage with it currently because they're largely using it to gather information.

Etraya, Aurora, & Echo:
Setsu arrived with the June Mingle! They weren't even around for the TDM, but they did hear about it.

They're adaptable and adjusting as well as they can, but they're tense. They'll always try their best to put on a strong and confident front (to mixed results), so while perceptive characters might notice there's something off about them, they aren't the type to open up often.

Free Space to Fill:
Setsu's 100+ time loops each only lasted for a few days at a time, after which all their relationships with other characters went back to their initial states. Setsu hasn't had a relationship where someone remembered them for two consecutive weeks in a long time, so they're actually really lonely and excited for any sort of consistent relationship.

Canon/Canon Point/Your People: Riz is from My Green Heaven in Fantasy High: Sophomore Year (though I am going to canon update him!). He has the rest of the Bad Boys with him, namely Gorgug and Fabian, and he'll gush about both if they come up. His canon takes place in a D&D world that's a play on if The Breakfast Club was extremely violent and starred a bunch of fantastical gremlins, and where the school itself is structured to train teens to be violent little menaces in service of adventure.

Residency: He lives with Gorgug and Fabian in the massive pirate ship known as Seacaster Manor, where he can be found puttering around in the office his buddies set up for him.

Occupation: He participates in almost all of the missions, however reluctantly, and can be found snooping around whenever they're sent to a new place. If there's a chance to sneak around, he's there! He doesn't otherwise have an occupation, aside from his occupation as a Professional Conspiracy Theorist. Slacker.

Commonly found at: Riz likes to explore, so I can come up with a reason for him to be pretty much anywhere! Otherwise, you can find him at a coffee shop - well into the dead of the night - picking up household items, at the library, nosing around the hospital (where he goes to replenish his medical supplies), or practicing his general adventuring skills out in the open (trying to improve his physical strength, running, shooting practice, medic practie).

Hobbies: Riz's biggest hobby is just being nosy, tbh. He's always scribbling notes and trying to connect the dots! That said, he's always hungry for company, and is easily swayed into doing most things, whether it's trying his hand at video games, watching a movie, or engaging in foolhardy behaviour. He's also not above underaged drinking. Otherwise, he likes to read and has been working on his technological skills.

Casual Interactions: Riz cuts an unintimidating figure at a whopping 3'5", and his inhuman nature is more than surface level; he comes across as a little creepy, if not over-eager, and has a tendency to stare. Once engaged, though, he tends to be extremely (overly) attentive, and he's a pretty nice, polite kid. He just always seems a little off. That said, he's kind of desperate to be liked, and he'd like to impress people. It's more obvious than he thinks it is, though it's deeply at odds with his tendency to hiss, claw, bite (and occasionally puke) when overwhelmed.

Love ‘Em or Leave ‘Em: I think y'all know who his closest pals are by now! There's always room for more friends, frenemies, or enemies though, and I'm always open to more!!

Etraya, Aurora, & Echo: Riz has been in Etraya for well over a year now! He feels pretty negatively about it all, backed up by his extensive notes and conspiracy board about the whole place (and every person in it). He tends to excel at missions, but sometimes does them with petulance and reluctance, filled with both teenaged rebellion and appropriate apprehension about the whole thing. He's pretty obvious about his distaste for the whole thing. He distrusts Aurora and Echo, considering them prison guards, but has started feeling guilty about what a pain in the ass he's been to Aurora.

Free Space to Fill: His entire torso is covered in tattoos he got on a drug bender, he has Celestial ties those with the ability are able to sense, he cries when he's drunk, he carries everything in his handy dandy briefcase, and he wears a matching friendship necklace with Fabian at all times, as some silly things of note! He also carries a gun and a sword at all times, and is available for basic first-aid, which he'll always rush to provide.

Canon/Canon Point/Your People: Doreen is from Marvel 616, more specifically the last issue of Unbeatable Squirrel Girl! In her last story arc, Doreen's secret identity was leaked to the press by a bunch of her enemies, who also blew up her apartment and tried to kill her. Things worked out alright in the end, but this is the first time she's really lived without a secret identity, and for that matter, without having to hide her tail down her pants and pretend that she is a 100% normal civilian who definitely doesn't fight bank robbers in her spare time. She is getting used to it!

In terms of canon... Marvel comics are basically batshit insane, and Doreen's adventures tend to be pretty lighthearted. Doreen will casually mention stuff like that time she and her squirrels defeated Doctor Doom, or that time she fought a dude made of bees like it's just something that happens on the regular. I think she's on pretty good terms with the Marvel casts so far? She thinks Ororo and Spider-Man are the coolest, is protective of mini!Laura, and gets along with Wade.

Residency: Doreen lives alone in one of the starter apartments, but I like to think that her living room window is at tree-level, and the local squirrels have easy access to her place. They wander in and out pretty frequently, and can sometimes be found chilling on the couch and watching TV.

Occupation: She absolutely goes on quests and missions! Doreen tackles them with as much enthusiasm as she can, but she tries to do things as non-violently as possible. The more dystopian missions tend to severely rattle her optimism. Otherwise she doesn't have a job, but is always happy to volunteer and help out with stuff (especially if that stuff involves heavy lifting or jumping long distance).

Commonly found at: Doreen hangs out at the local coffee shops, the diner, sometimes the library, and especially the parks! She likes chilling with the squirrel population here whenever she gets stressed out. If she needs to think, she usually goes up a tree. That said, she's also very good at climbing and parkour, and will sometimes just run around the rooftops whenever she needs to burn off energy.

Hobbies: Doreen's two biggest hobbies back home are Fighting Crime and Computer Science, and she can't really do either of those here, so she mostly tries to keep herself busy by getting to know the local squirrel population, cooking, reading, and sometimes drawing comics and painting.

Casual Interactions: Doreen is a very friendly and open person! She's always happy to chat and make conversation with anyone, although it quickly becomes apparent that 1) Doreen is super earnest and genuine about literally everything, 2) she loves terrible dad jokes, and 3) she cannot tell a lie to save her life.

Love ‘Em or Leave ‘Em: Doreen is pretty close to the Fantasy High kids, and on good terms with some of the Marvel folks! She's pretty friendly with everyone, though, and is always down for new pals.

Etraya, Aurora, & Echo: She is... suspicious, but willing to play along, until they can learn more? Doreen's been here for about a year, and while she isn't stressed about being away from her home world that long - she's done enough time travel and alternate dimension nonsense to know that it all comes out in the wash eventually - she's annoyed at the lack of transparency about the missions! How close are they to saving their worlds?

Free Space to Fill: Doreen has a four-foot long squirrel tail, talks to squirrels on the regular, has claws and buck teeth, and is very strong and agile! The tail is the most apparent part of all this, but she looks pretty unassuming otherwise.

Riz definitely runs into Doreen by happenstance sometimes, but I think he'd occasionally seek her out (and will uncannily be able to figure out where she is if she keeps to any sort of schedule) so that they can hang out!! Age: Unspecified canon age. I've placed her to be around ~7, similar to another young character in the series. Chronologically, unknown. But she is the memory of a child that passed away around the medieval era. She is slightly familiar with more otherworldly or advanced technology because there were a few teleporters and elevators around the digital server that she ran around in.

Canon/Canon Point/Your People: NieR:Reincarnation. Rein takes place in a post-apocalyptic setting, largely within a virtual space known as The Cage located on Earth's moon. The Cage has the appearance of endless, towering spires and contains extinct humanity's memories.

As for Fio, she is or was the digitally recorded memory of a little girl who once lived on Earth and passed away at a very young age after being abandoned by her adoptive mother. She is from around the medieval era (her home appears to be based off of medieval France. She would probably fit in with all the French people if the devs properly gave her a French name...) I could go on about her background, but it is A Lot! Her pain and despair started from the day she was born and even persists for a while after death if you read her side stories. Because of the existence of The Cage, she was able to find salvation and be at peace by making her first friend, a monster named Levania.

She is from the final arc, shortly before the last cutscene where she is seen waking up on Earth. She made the choice to go to post-apocalyptic Earth, despite warnings that only she and the female administrator may be the only ones left on the desolate planet. She wanted to keep another lonely girl company...

Originally, she was a virtual being only capable of existing in a digital space or as shown in canon, she's also able to exist in a world that sits on the boundary of virtual and reality.

...What is she now? She doesn't know. I don't know. Canon does not specify what kind of physical body she is reborn with. I picked her from a canon point where I can remain vague. But she does have a physical body that's like a human here in Etraya! She is sort of a mix of being human and herself from the Cage, because she's still able to summon her weapons. She focuses a lot more on how she can help the people around her than what she actually is.

From what I gathered from her interactions, other Etrayans think she's sweet. They also believe she's too young to be here! She was one of the recruited memories to protect her world from an external threat (a virus) and she may be one of the reasons that the Cage was saved. She also thinks it's acceptable that she was chosen... but she is still a child, who lived a harsh life where everyone was against her. She should be out in the club playing, being a normal child! At least here, she does have friends and allies... which she sometimes needs to remember so she doesn't push herself too hard!

Residency: She now lives alone in the starter apartments, which is too sad and big for her. When she arrived, she had one castmate, Lars, to keep her company. Sadly, he left not too long ago. She doesn't spend too much time in her apartment except to sleep. Sometimes she eats at the cafe for breakfast, because it's close enough. IDW Shadow takes her to the diner to eat and makes sure that she has her daily meals necessary for a human—like breakfast, lunch, dinner. Having grown up poor and sometimes missing meals, she's been adjusting to living properly like a person! And since she's originally from the Cage, it probably wasn't necessary for a former data child to actually eat...

IDW Shadow (and Movie Shadow too, I believe... but correct me if I'm wrong!) check on her in the evenings by lurking around her window like a pair of grumpy stray cats. She is well-guarded.

Occupation: She tries to do every quest and mission to the best of her ability because she desperately wants to preserve her world, especially since the lunar server is the last place holding all of humanity's memories. She really should focus on one thing at a time but she's so kind that she would try to help everyone else with their missions when she can.

Commonly found at: The library is her favorite place. She prefers quiet places. She is trying to be well-behaved after concerns about her wandering off alone, so she mainly sticks to areas closest to the apartments. If for whatever reason she needs to go somewhere that she can't easily access, she's likely to either ask IDW Shadow or Accelerator.

Despite being here a while, she has yet to actually ride the trolley! In the future, I do want to turn the Sector 5 Church into one of her regular haunts because hanging around beautiful dilapidated abandoned places to have her occasional alone time is very her. She loves company, but she does want her own peace and quiet sometimes!

Hobbies: Reading picture books and doing arts & crafts—mainly doodling, flower pressing, and paper crafts. She is the type to collect pretty little objects from nature, like sea shells or a shiny rock, then give them to people that she likes. When she used to go to school, art was her lowest graded subject. She does it for fun and to make others happy. And even if she isn't actually "good" at it, I would say her work is always filled with a lot of love. Her drawings are usually of other people.

I will some day get around to working on her diary... she used to write in a diary once upon a time! I wanted to do something like an "IC CR Chart" where she writes about the people she meets. She wants to make a lot of memories because she thinks about the day she'll one day go back to her post-apocalyptic Earth...

As for books, she is currently reading through The Little Prince. Thanks Accelerator! It's a bit of a step up from the kinds of books she usually reads, but she's doing her best.

Back when she went to school before everything went to shit for her, she used to enjoy ballet dancing with friends. She is probably very rusty now... but might sometimes practice some very basic dance steps from time to time.

A web novel chapter dropped not too long ago that showed what she's been doing on post-apocalyptic Earth! She met a machine and helped repair a Planetarium projector... she also learned about space and Project Apollo. Which made her realize that she's also from "space" too. I used her time in Etraya's library to do something similar, since it's very unlikely I'll ever canon update her that far since there is currently no official localization and it means I might have to sacrifice her powers. Anyway, because of this, she's starting to take more of an interest in space travel, science and engineering, because she's been interested in rocket ships. She wants to fly to Earth's moon someday so she can see her bestie again...

Casual Interactions: Very approachable and friendly to everyone. She would say hello and smile. She might seem slightly nervous around strangers, but remains friendly. She's still willing to chatter away to get to know others better.
Love ‘Em or Leave ‘Em: Close with most of the Sonic cast, mainly the Shadows (even if they deny the "friend" word) and Blaze. IDW Shadow is probably like a strict surrogate dad in the form of a fluffy grumpy creature, lmao. Scott and Accelerator are like big brother figures. She's grown quickly fond of Verso as yet another big brother figure upon their first meeting and he's been giving her a lot of positive acknowledgement and praise, a lot of what's been absent from her shitty DrakeNieR childhood. She has a lot of older sibling-like figures. She likes and gets along with a lot of people!

Etraya, Aurora, & Echo: Fio arrived around late-April of this year. She likes Etraya because everyone she's met so far is kind to her and she gets to experience all sorts of new things. However, she knows she doesn't belong here and believes that one day she'll return to her ruined version of Earth. But she's also been very worried since there's no visible proof that her world is safe. A few people are aware that she's been too scared to stop doing the missions.

Free Space to Fill: I feel like I heavily dropped the ball in late-June and my tagging habits have been extremely sporadic. I wasn't able to go through with a lot of plans and left a lot of people hanging! I am probably unlikely to do a top-level for the upcoming mission and focus more on tagging in or writing specific starters...

Blaze told Jason about Fio during the last mission so he's curious and a little concerned that someone so young is in Etraya. He's also deeply sympathetic and has a soft spot for kids who've had it really rough.

The library is also one of Jason's favorite places so maybe we can work something from there? Jason can definitely put in his two cents about The Little Prince and is probably the kind of book he still enjoys.

Canon/Canon Point/Your People: He's an original character from the Eberron Dnd setting. I picked the point after he reads a letter from his father informing Dwayne that he's now had himself turned into an undead, and since he's legally dead, all his gambling debts will be passed down, mostly because I find the idea of him sharing the fact that his father had himself turned into an undead to escape gambling debts entertaining. Most of the people who know Dwayne back home consider him friendly, but not really the brightest person, and he is known for his terrible plans. Since he's new to Etraya, most people likely haven't formed much of an opinion of him yet.

Residency: He's still staying in the standard apartment he got when he arrived, and he hasn't done much to personalize it yet. It is a bit messier, but still the same basic unit. Deer and/or squirrel meat can typically be found in his refrigerator, as well as beer.

Occupation: He hasn't been around long enough to do quests/missions, and he's not acclimated enough to be ready to get a job.

Commonly found at: He can frequently be found at Ebbet's Field, having fun with the pitching machines. He's seen enough people use them to know he's supposed to hit the balls with a bat, and he does that sometimes, but half the time he just has fun using the machine so he can catch the ball over and over again.

In the evenings, he often wolfs out and goes for a run in the small forest in the Leafless Valley. If he catches anything, he will attempt to bring it home with him on the trolley.

Sometimes when he's out and doesn't have the chance to go home for something to eat, he'll stop at 7-11 or WcDonalds for a snack.

Hobbies: Dwayne enjoys running, hunting and sports, but he also enjoys theater, especially plays with more melodramatic plots. Once he finds out what a movie is, he'll absolutely love those, too.

Casual Interactions: Dwayne comes off as friendly, cheerful and very approachable, though the fact that he typically wears armor and has a battle ax strapped to his back might be off putting to some. He usually will offer a smile in greeting, and will attempt to be helpful to anyone who seems to need it.

Love ‘Em or Leave ‘Em: Since he just arrived he doesn't really know anyone yet.

Etraya, Aurora, & Echo: He just arrived with the newest batch of people. He completely trusts Aurora and it never even occurred to him to not take everything she had to say at face value immediately. He misses home and wants to go back, but he understands why, if the future of his universe is at stake, that he must stay here until he can prove the value of his world.

He's very confused by Etraya itself, though, and he's not really sure what will be expected of him or how he's supposed to prove the value of his world. The place itself seems nice, there's plenty of people around and he's able to keep himself occupied, but he looks forward to proving his universe should continue to exist so he can go home.

Free Space to Fill: It should be noted that Dwayne still wears the same clothes he arrived wearing, which includes the leather armor he always wears around Eberron, because it's a setting for a DnD campaign, which means every time he leaves his home there's a decent chance of running into cultists, a portal leading to another plane of existence, brigands or anything else you'd expect to find when in the middle of a campaign. For this reason, he also arrived with his usual equipment, including a battle ax and two hand axes that he also thinks are reasonable things to take with him anywhere he goes.
