⏵ arrival⏴

Arrival goes as anticipated. Characters awaken in the pristine, new hospital, greeted by Aurora and potentially getting a rundown of what's happening depending on their approach to being dropped somewhere new. The door to their room opens, and new arrivals are left free to explore their new environment.

When the first round of citizens arrived, Aurora and the companion bots had been largely unprepared. This time? They made sure to put up welcome banners, even if the sentiment isn't quite right. There are cupcakes and cookies set out in the hospital's lobbies, and a digital map has been placed just in front of the entrance of the hospital, telling others how to reach the various locations throughout Etraya. Companion bots wander throughout the city, some carrying construction equipment to half-built facilities while others act as nurses, servers, or sales associates throughout the constructed buildings.

⏵ rainy awakenings ⏴

Many concepts are new to Aurora, including rain. She is familiar with how it functions, and its purpose, but rain has never been present on the lands of Etraya. Given how new it is, that may not be all too surprising - but the method of how it’s being introduced is… a little much. Rainfall commences in the early days of April, a persistent downpour that waxes and wanes in intensity but never ceases entirely.

Most nights in Etraya are characterized by a soothing patter of rain against rooftops. Yet, some nights leave the grounds flooded come morning. Rivers begin to swell, the current much too strong to justify trying to go for a swim. These showers also bring a new assortment of plants blooming across the green lands: bright blossoms whose petals spread wide when the yellow sun shines down on them, while numerous cherry blossom trees have grown out of nowhere, flourishing despite the rainfall. Clover carpets the grassy expanses of the islands, weaving a beautiful tapestry of color across the grounds.

⏵ Getting drenched by the rain can trigger a surge, followed by a slump. Initially, individuals will feel giddy, excited, full of energy, and ready to take on the world. However, in the subsequent days, they’ll find themselves feeling depressed, lacking the energy and motivation to move forward. Aurora advises that these effects are only temporary and should fade within the week, but they can be resolved more quickly by embracing a stranger. Attempting to hug anyone they already know well will not produce the same effect.

⏵ With the rain comes a significant increase in the greenery around Etraya that isn’t fake. Most of these plants will resemble ones originally found in the characters' universes.

⏵ A couple of these plants contain magical properties:

The Emberloom is a bright red, fiery flower that only inhabits smaller land masses. Those exposed to its pollen will experience heightened aggression and impulsivity.

Shadowbloom resemble tulips during the day, but during the night the petals open and it looks more like the night sky: dark petals with specs of white throughout them. Growing too close to the apartment building for comfort, those who look at the petals after nightfall will fall into a deep sleep. Worse yet: the dreams they find themselves in are not their own, but are the dreams of other residents. Ones who had not looked into the Shadowbloom, but had drifted off to sleep elsewhere on the planet. The one who looked into the Shadowbloom will find they cannot awaken until the person whose dream they have entered does.

These flowers will continue to bloom through April, after which the companion bots will search for and remove them from the atmosphere bubble.

⏵ If there is a specific, unique plant that those in game (or those accepted during the next round!) would like to add, please comment to the LOCATIONS page! We’ll add mentions of these to the Outskirts section.

Along with the botanical resurgence, numerous new animals appear: glowing fish swim freely through the waters. In the canopy above, new species of birds and critters flit among the branches. Some diligently construct new nests in anticipation of the coming spring, while others seek refuge in the shelter of trees, retreating from the weather.

Not all the creatures are so small, or so peaceful.

⏵ Small critters make themselves comfortable in the forested area around Etraya, staying mostly out of the way. There are the occasional visitors that will let themselves in through windows for a quick visit, or maybe a snack, but they’re mostly harmless.

⏵ Several larger beasts make their way into the city to try and find land that’s more habitable for them. Giraffes navigate gracefully through the areas designated for new arrivals, using their elongated necks to reach for the foliage near the hospital when they aren’t finding new places to make themselves comfortable. An eclectic array of cats, ranging in all sizes and breeds, brazenly saunter into buildings they don’t belong. Hopefully, the lioness lounging in the apartment complex's common area does not prevent residents from reaching their rooms, because she has no intention of yielding.

⏵ The leopard adorned with a rattlesnake tail in the hospital's cafeteria may be difficult to ignore, given his determination to devour everything in sight and attack anyone in his way.

⏵ Cat scratches and bites pose a significant risk of infection. In the event a character is injured, individuals can expect the companion bots to quickly seek them out and approach them with a special antibiotic cream developed specifically for these cats. Refusal of treatment may result in severe symptoms, including high fevers and itching. In extreme cases, individuals may begin to exhibit cat-like characteristics, ranging from physical alterations to changes in mental traits.

⏵ Numerous other creatures of all shapes and sizes will be coming and going through the city. You may play with this as you wish!

While the uproar caused by these guests doesn’t particularly bother Aurora, she does send out a message to everyone wearing an earpiece to request their assistance in capturing the larger animals that her companion bots may not be able to handle themselves. She has converted an island to the East into a temporary holding area until the companion bots can set them up with something a little more permanent.

⏵ network ⏴

Welcome to Etraya! Upon your arrival, Aurora provided an earpiece, a device to make communication with others stuck in the same situation more simple. The device connects to an internal network, which is accessible by everyone else currently residing on planet. Whether you’re looking for guidance, camaraderie, or want to see if there are any familiar faces around, this is the perfect place to do it! Please feel free to post any questions, offer your name, ask for assistance, or maybe complain to the powers that be about how you’ve got better things to be doing than sitting around here completing their missions. Maybe they’re listening. Maybe they’re not.

⏵ NOTES⏴

⏵ During April, Etraya’s getting a little wet! Those who spend too long in the rain may experience a few unfortunate effects.

⏵ The rain brings in new flora, including a couple that may cause characters to experience aggression and impulsivity, or take a stroll through others’ dreams.

New animals also appear! While many of them are friendly, others… are less so. The cats specifically seem to be a little grumpy. Characters scratched or bitten by these cats may find themselves becoming just as catty.

For any questions relating to the contents of this log, please reply below. All other questions can be directed to the FAQ. The TDM is game canon, meaning everything happening above is occurring within the game properly. Those who apply to join in the April application round may keep their TDM threads as game canon.

Arrival: Rainy Memories

Rain.

It was familiar, and not something he had seen with such intensity in recent days. Only the discussion he had with the strange woman in the hospital illuminated anything for him-- Multiverses, somehow, made a little more sense than Holy Grail Wars.

The rain at least reminded him of London, and the future that he knew he had to face. Hot tea, egg sandwiches, and the trials of lecturing in the very halls of the academic institution that had ridiculed him were what awaited him -- by choice.

But, for now...

He could almost hear Iskandar asking "Don't you want to have a little fun?"

"Yeah. I guess I do."

He said as he stood in the rain, umbrella forgotten for the moment. A smile brightened his face at the thought of an unknown future.

Dodging the Bots

...he was an 80' kid, and a mage on top of that. Every part of Waver had a healthy distrust of sentient robots after watching a few too many B-rated Sci-Fi films. Sure, he had gotten scratched by a stray cat. That was normal-- he was dumb for trying to get it out of the road in the first place.

The heat he felt under his collar wasn't unusual at all for a guy who was irritated. Waver Velvet, having finally had enough of being stalked by the robot that was only trying to help, whirled on the mechanism and snapped.

"Would you stop following me around already?! I know I'm a thief, but I'm not going to steal anything!"

The bot vented closer, as if to help, and Waver whipped off his coat and tossed it over the machine.

"Leave me alone already!"

[Arrival]

[It's quite a bit to take in but when you come from a world that lets a card game based off of an ancient Egyptian game mostly control the world, accepting the fact that you've been whisked off to another world in order to save your own seems less farfetched than one would expect.

You can bet Marik still makes a stink over it, insulting and badgering poor Aurora and the staff until he gets the jidst of what's going on, on his own though since they dissipate as soon as he begins throwing his favorite insult. Sorry, Aurora. We know you do your best. He's just a terrible, spoiled brat.

The young Egyptian stands in the front entrance, looking up at the map as he shoves a cupcake into his mouth, muttering to himself about "fools" and "that wasn't even the right welcome banner..."]

[Cat Scratch Fever - Diner]

[It's a strange new place away from home with no one he knows in sight. It's both a blessing and a curse in the teen's eyes. On the one hand, he should be repenting for the terrible things he did back in his world (isn't that sort of what you're supposed to be doing now that you're here though?), on the other, this place could be a fresh new start. No one knows who he is, what he's done, or what his purpose in life is so...

Best make the most of it, regardless of if he convinces the powers that be to keep his universe alive or not, right?

Right?

Besides, someone else might arrive better suited for the job. Like little Yugi. Or one of the others from his group of friends.

One has to wonder what Marik was up to the time he left the tomb up until Battle City, considering he hasn't experienced much in life despite living above ground for several years now as he flips through the menu, surprised by the amount of food they have. He points at the picture on the menu itself, sitting at a booth by himself in the Diner, then looks sternly up at the waitress.]

This one. "French Toast." With the sugar and syrup and whatever else goes with it. Make sure it's perrrfect.

[What a weird way to say "perfect." However, feel free to join him if you can tolerate an insufferable child that still thinks far too highly of himself despite having his proverbial ass kicked by the Nameless Pharaoh. Someone needs to knock him down a few pegs again.

One will note that there is a small marking of claws on his right hand. It seems to have been treated, thankfully. Behavior wise, Marik always acts like a cat so the jury is still out on that one.]

[Walk Walk Fashion Baby - Roxx]

[You know who has ridiculous fashion sense? This guy. He's holding up what looks to be a biker vest and a tight skinny jeans.]

... All of this is really free?

[Whether he's speaking to himself or addressing you, it's hard to tell.]

Wade Wilson | Marvel Cinematic Universe

[personal profile] fourthwalled 2024-04-04 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Arrival

It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that knows ANY version of Deadpool that waking up in a place with strong 'we're your friend and are totally not experimenting on you' vibes isn't going to be met with a rational response. So Wade is far too busy cursing out the AI and checking his ass for probes to hear anything she has to say about the multiverse and saving his world.

So when he stumbles out of the room, clad in his red and black suit, guns strapped to his hips and katanas at his back, he falters giving a double take to the welcome posters and the seemingly much calmer residents and other new arrivals.

"What in the Hotel California is going on here--" he pauses suddenly, "Are those cupcakes?"

He approaches the table, gathering an entire tray of them and pulling out a katana toward anyone who tries to chide him for it, "Hey! I just got kidnapped and anal probed, here, I think that means I get to eat as many of these as I want! I'm pretty sure that's written down in the Geneva Convention somewhere." Wade glaces down, snagging a few cookies that he tosses on top of the cupcakes, smashing them down on the frosting. "And I'll have a few of these too!"

Rainy Daze

Who can even tell if the rain is actually doing anything to Wade, he goes through such dramatic highs and lows to begin with that it might just be his own erratic nature that has him trying to ride a giraffe or running around out in the ran jumping in puddles dragging in random strangers to join in while laughing like an idiot. Some of those strangers might literally be kicking and screaming as he drags them. Oops?

And it might still just be him when he's sitting at the diner booth alone the next day bawling his eyes out over a pile of pancakes with a whipped cream smiley face on them. His mask is half-up as he eats and sobs, "He's just so happy! But I'm still eating him... what's wrong with me? I'm a monster."

Shadowbloom [cw: torture, blood, descriptions of gore likely. also maybe clowns.]

God help anyone impacted by the shadowbloom flowers outside that wanders into Wade's mind as he dreams. It's a mess in there, full of memories, chaos, and pain. The dream starts with a little light water boarding, a figure grabbing hold of you and shoving your head into a pool of water. Over and over again. Someone can be heard beside you-- singing?

"This is the song that doesn't end. Yes, it goes on and on, my friend. Some people started--!" The voice belongs to a sickly, but still mostly attractive man underneath that gaunt and pale skin. The singing continues even as his head is dunked again, the sound distorted under the water but continuing, like he refuses to stop no matter what happens to him. And that's when the puppets show up to sing along.

This is not the Deadpool 3 I signed up for, Feige! I mean, it's got the saving the multi-verse thing, but where's Wolverine? I haven't seen any other decent cameos yet, either!

At least tell me, we have the budget for Daredevil? That guy will pop into anything!

I hope that you came prepared :: arrival
[ It's not the kind of banner he's used to, these days, but he's got to admit it has a certain charm. Dick stands, arms crossed, in front of the sign welcoming him back to school and feels a sudden desire to shop for a Trapper-Keeper. ]

Wow, that is... so nice, guys. Thank you. Good effort.

[ It's not that he doesn't feel the weight of the task ahead of him here; it's a familiar one. Win and you live. Win and the people you love live. Lose and everything ends. That's simple enough. He can focus on that, a jumpline keeping him from falling into fear. So he doesn't have his friends, his team, his family; so he's only got his costume and this earpiece to count as assets.

Just means there's nowhere to go but up... and around whatever parts of this place he can access. You know, as soon as he gets past the leopard-rattlesnake-multi-apex-predator hybrid that does its level best to disembowel him the second he wanders into the cafeteria. He's got just enough time to grab the person next to him and get them both behind an upturned table when the damn thing pounces. ]

You wouldn't happen to have a comically large squirt bottle handy, would you? Or a cucumber?

[ Hospital cafeterias aren't his favorite place to grab a bite even when they aren't hosting big cat-slash-mythological abomination, so evening finds Dick at a diner where he can order a burger and a Coke and at least take the edge off his hunger. He's got extra fries; clearly a man with siblings or an especially covetous significant other... at least where French fries are involved. But that just means they're up for grabs to whoever might decide to join him. ]

feel the adrenaline moving through my veins :: Wayne manor
[ The address is the same. He shouldn't be surprised by that, but he is, a little, standing at the front gates and looking up at the house beyond, hands in the pockets of the khakis he'd taken from the clothing store in town. The address is the same, the house is the same... or as similar as he can tell, from here.

He's not the only one who's made his way out here to look at the Manor, but he's the one who comes back once dusk has fallen, having traded his khakis and polo shirt for the sleek black and blue of his costume and his strangely disconnected domino mask. But he doesn't need data flowing in to circumvent these security systems; he's known how to get into this building since he was a kid.

He's just not used to it feeling so empty, quiet and watchful as he moves through the familiar halls and rooms, as he runs light fingertips over the spines of the books in the library. But then, any house would feel empty without Alfred in it. ]

( the reasonable thing to do here would be to wait for dick to walk out into a dark alley then jump and interrogate him where no one else can see. especially given he's put on casual wear, and damian has. . . yet to take off his robin gear. still doesn't intend to, regardless of whether drake has been around as long as he has and has chosen to be timothy drake to everyone else. going off that logic, there's also a batman, who damian has yet to see without the cowl.

but he chooses to be unreasonable instead. to forgo waiting and being cautious. grayson may have been contently eating his cheap diner meal by himself when he'd first gotten comfortable, but robin's leaping over the back of a booth, boots landing solidly on the table away from where his meal sits. and damian - moves a gloved hand down, to swipe several fries off his plate. )

( he hasn't decided yet if this is where he wants to be. if this version of wayne manor is where he'll choose to set up shop, in a manner of speaking, while he's on this planet that isn't his own. it's familiar — similar enough for him to feel some semblance of being comfortable here. he figures that's what they want here — that it could very well be a bad idea and yet, he's here. right now. right as someone else seems to show up unexpectedly.

it's not damian yet still someone costumed and he has to wonder just how many others around here choose to conceal their identities with the help of a mask and cape. well. mask and suit, from the looks of it. no cape to be seen on his back. still. the fact that damian sometimes wanders in here and now has a giant creature that's made a bed for itself in the cave, he's not about to let some stranger wander around some version of his home. so he does what any batman would do.

he throws a batarang through the shadows towards the guy. incoming. )

"A coat versus a robot," says a dry voice from somewhere behind Waver, "Interesting tactic."

If he turns to place the origin of the voice, he'll discover a young man in his late teens leaning against a finished wall and nursing a cigarette, which Krouse will lift in a desultory salute as soon as Waver sets eyes on him.

"well. I don't really have anything else on me."

Besides a mana burst, a knife, and the urge to slap the robot. None of these were a good idea with his meager mana stores.

Then, proving the stranger's point, the robot pulled the jacket off. However, instead of throwing it back, it politely tucked it under an arm and continued it's pursuit-- in which case, Waver booked it.

"What in the T-1000 is that thing?"

He yelped, unashamed. He was pretty sure Iskandar's orders didn't include robots.

Arrival

The soft, rhythmic beeps of machines are what wake her, and it's with a violent jolt upright in the bed she finds herself in. Only then, eyes wild as she takes in her surroundings, does she notice the medically sterile feeling of the room. Everything in this room is white and it sets her teeth on edge instantly. Before she has time to process much, in comes the explanation from a girl who sounds pleasant, but hollow in a way Yelena can't quite place.

Distrustful and on guard as Yelena is, she watches her new company with skeptical eyes, but she wants answers. She's surprised when getting them seems as easy as asking. It makes her think perhaps it isn't the full story, but it's enough. It's... a lot. And Yelena isn't entirely sure how to feel about ending whole worlds, or being her own world's lead champion in some multiverse talent show.

It is with all these thoughts that she leaves the hospital room she'd woken up in to see just what this place has on offer. Feel free to catch her wandering the city streets, catch up with her as she flips through clothing racks at Roxx, or find her sitting at a booth seat at the diner, digging into a stack of pancakes.

Rainy Slumps

Yelena stomps inside the apartment building meant for them- the displaced, more than a bit drenched. "Ugh," she groans, shaking her head and slinging water like a dog. "I hate the rain," she mumbles to no one in particular.

"Does anyone know is this weather normal here?" This, at least, is asked of anyone who might be in general ear-shot of her at this point. A general question aimed at the rec room at large.

⊗ DINER.
( at some point, he ends up at the diner. tucked away in a booth with a plate of pancakes before him. he's famished after the whole arrival thing and he wasn't about to stick around in the hospital after whatever tests they'd likely done on him. mutants and tests of any kind don't exactly go hand-in-hand all that well. so he'd left. made it here. decided to take advantage of something to eat before he starts taking matters into his own hands. or at least about as much as he can.

when he senses the approach of another — whether it be for a bottle of syrup, the sugar shaker, or just passing through for the bathroom, he doesn't bother to look up. )

Seat's taken. Sorry.

⊗ RAINY STREETS.
( it happens too fast.

one minute, he's making his way down the rainy streets for the apartments. soaked to the bone in the downpour that suddenly seems to have appeared. the next, a startled cat of some sort — one he's never seen — jumps at him from who knows where, likely pissed at being as wet as he is, and gets him on the cheek when she pounces on his shoulder. the one-two-three of it all knocks his glasses off and a beam of red fires from his eyes down the street. possibly hitting a lamppost. eyes snap shut, his cheek bleeding from the scratch, and he drops down to his knees with a hiss. )

Shit.

( this is the last thing he needs right now. the loss of his glasses. not so much the scratch. or so he thinks.

with his sight having been compromised for the majority of his life, it's made his other senses all the more sharper and so even through the heavy downpour, he can hear someone around him. )

Get away! ( it's more for their sake than his own and he frantically feels around in the puddles surrounding him, eyes squeezed shut. tight. ) My glasses... I can't find my glasses.

              arrival
( it’s been a while since peter’s been in a hospital — an actual hospital, that is, and a bed that’s not some degree of QUESTIONABLE onboard a shitty ship. his sleeping habits are poor at the best of times — apparently it’d been four am (ish, earth time, thanks, kitty) when he’d gone to bed, but beyond that, he has no idea what time it’d been. no idea how long he’d managed to be asleep. no idea of what had happened between kicking — quite literally — his boots off and passing the fuck out, and waking up, slowly and groggily and without anywhere near enough shut-eye, here.

because it sure as fuck isn’t the ryder.

the beeping's annoying — possibly because it just is, but also possibly because peter's fairly certain his brain and skull are trying to part ways — and it's not helped by the not-quite-organic explanation from a flarking hologram.

he's shoeless, jacketless, and weaponless — the joys of crawling into one's own bed — and the first thing he does (or the first thing he'll admit to), is go in search of coffee. it's not, precisely, what he's interested in, but there's something to be said for convenient excuses and he wouldn't say no to a cup or two.

hospital cafeteria is where he ends up first, having pocketed a few maybe-useful-something-or-others along the way. cupcakes aren't coffee, but they're something, and he nabs one before heading outside (still shoeless, still dishevelled, still rocking that JUST WOKE UP AFTER A SUB-OPTIMAL AMOUNT OF SLEEP look).

inevitably — after finding shoes, thanks — he does make his way to the diner. if asked, he'll say something about needing food and-or drink, but the truth is, he figures it's a good place to people watch. somewhere to get an idea of who else is here, if there's anyone he knows and if there's anyone he should know.

his attention sits on the coffee set in front of him. the last time he'd been stuck on a planet — on earth, actually — it'd been predominately through his own doing, the guardians all but separated. this time, the guardians are still separated, only now it's somehow more complicated, the sort of thing the guardians were formed to deal with, and—

—flarking here he is.

he lifts the mug, holding it just in front of his mouth as the steam rising in curls from the surface of the what-is-supposed-to-be coffee tells him that 'no, no. this is far too hot for any sane person to drink'. he pauses, eyebrows pinching together in a slight frown as he blows on it, as if hoping that pure will is going to force the temperature down to something more tolerable before the flicker of movement catches his attention.

he places the mug back down on the table in front of him, still having drank none of it, and gestures at the empty seat across from him. )

Sleeping gas it is. I'll distract it, lure it into a clear shot away from any people.

[ Apparently there's no world in which he won't pair up with an archer; he's grateful this one's got trick arrows. Dick draws an escrima stick from the sheath on his back and nods to her. ]

Ready?

"Companion bot." Krouse watches Waver dart in another direction like a startled chicken, raising his voice slightly so he can still be heard. "They've been harmless so far. Did you do something to piss it off?"

Like, for example, start throwing articles of clothing at it.

arrival; diner

He keeps his eyes shut for almost five minutes upon waking up. Five minutes, because he can tell this is somewhere medical that he doesn't know how he ended up in, and his heart rate jumps but he stays quiet and takes in as much as he can from his other senses. It's only when he decides that he's almost certainly alone that he opens his eyes. The appearance of the woman is startling - he didn't hear her enter - and when he reflexively strikes at her, nothing happens. She just smiles. And she talks.

He doesn't believe her, obviously. Not at first. Her explanation is completely mad, like something out of a sci-fi film. But once he gets out of the building, he starts exploring, and exploring starts to make him feel like she might've been right after all. For starters, the companion bots are beyond anything he's ever seen. Even more convincing is that - after dropping into Roxx and picking up some items for a little hike that he'd expected to shoplift but turned out to be completely free and unguarded - once he's gotten far enough outside, he's running into seriously ridiculous animals, things that look like what you'd get if an alien was trying to make Earth animals but didn't quite understand what they were supposed to look like.

The burst of energy from the rain keeps him looking well past dark before he finally starts to feel exhausted and makes his way back to what could loosely be called civilization. He ends up in the diner sometime around midnight, dripping wet, and ends up ordering a burger and a soda that apparently costs the same amount of nothing as the clothes on his back, looking and feeling exhausted. Now would probably be a good time to hug a stranger, if only someone would tell him that's an option.

Eventually, it occurs to him to check out the apartment building that turns out to have apartments free for the taking. (This either really is another world or the world's biggest and weirdest commune.) He doesn't get to sleep until late, sprawled across a bed that isn't really his own, and when he dreams, he doesn't dream alone.

(He's tied to a chair, in an empty room. It's freezing, water raining down on him even though it's inside, and a loud, distorted sound that rattles through his bones. His head hurts; there's blood dripping off it and mixing with the rain, creating an ever-expanding pool at his feet. Someone enters - he can hear a door somehow, beyond the heavy metal music, even though there's no visible wall, and a man with a scar on his cheek all dressed in black enters, a gun in his hand. He speaks, but it's hard to hear him over the noise. It sounds like he said something about scorpion.)

In the morning, the boy from the dream can be found in the recreation room, eyeing the roller rink with a look on his face that can only be described as are you fucking kidding me.

so does anyone else have any theories about where we are, or are we thinking we're really on another world trying to save our universe from destruction?

Arrival

On any given day Cassandra would tell people she loves her costume. The cowl specifically provides loads of cover for her to hide her expressions and eye movement well enough to help her feel more invisible to the world. Standing in a sterile hospital with it's vast amounts of white and beige though she feels like she's standing under a bright spotlight in head to toe black. She's not made for the spotlight, she's made for the shadows.

Brought here to decide what to save in a multiverse? The idea of that makes her head hurt. She's good at fighting people. Okay people, and metahumans, and zombies, and other general things that have come her way over the years. Not having to deal with important decisions, those were always left up to the other people. She's still not sure why they would want someone like her.

Getting the hell out of dodge seems like the best way to start so she takes the earpiece and goes exploring. Only when she's headed into the diner because her stomach is rumbling does she finally take of the cowl sinking into a booth trying to go as unnoticed as possible.

Wayne Manor

Cassandra is perched up in a tree where it's easy to watch the place even in the rainy mess of the weather. She keeps a birds eye view to see if there's someone who is coming or going that might be familiar. It seems ridiculous to her to get her hopes up, that she might recognize someone from home there. Surely just because this place looks like home doesn't mean it has any more connection to it then that right?

As the evening drags on she thinks about where secret entrances might be, it's tempting to want to make herself right at home. What if the people who are in this world are different though? What if they took it as a sign of something bad? She's pretty sure she could hold her own with all of them, but she doesn't want to have to go toe-to-toe with any of them.

Finally there's someone approaching the gate in the front she watches for a moment before dropping in with a three point landing from the tree branch in front of them.

Got Noods?

In the days that follow Cassandra claims one of the apartments trying to get settled. On a particularly rainy day however she finds herself craving instant noodles and makes her way down to the Kwik Trip even it it gets her soaked along the way. She's there to stock up on a large back full of cup noodles, the secret to Batgirl powers.

Feeling especially invigorated by the rain she grins in the elevator, somehow feeling social enough to share.

"Did you get yourself any noodles? They're looking especially delicious today."

Apologies if this is stated elsewhere but since Alex decided to go exploring - approximately how large an area do they have access to explore, and what stops them at the borders of it?
