He's just stunned. Whatever isn't letting them feel the effects of their mistakes aren't stopping things like snow is cold and I just went flying through the air and hit the snow, the latter which comes with a higher level of humiliation. Of injury to one's dignity. Which is not nerfed.

He feels nothing as he sits up, but it's a disorienting effect as he squints at the world, and then hears a distant sound that puts terror down his spine. But he spots Alex over by a tree, and oh, yeah. He was meant to be doing this course with her?
