I’m sorry, let me more clear as well. There are not extra crystals in the back area. However, there is nothing actually stopping you from stealing crystals from the jump puzzle- but this will make it more annoying for your competition as well.

The amount of crystal the platform needs to carry itself and the few people using it is the amount present. Any less will diminish its capacity to hold an expected number of contestants.
