[ Dick has some similarly conflicting feelings about Alfred not being here, except for him it's all got an extra layer because of the fact that the man who raised him as much as Bruce is dead. Which... doesn't mean he couldn't be here, in various ways, but he can't think about that too much. It would be selfish to hope that he would get to see Alfred again and actually say any of the things he needed to say and never got to before. It wouldn't make up for anything, it wouldn't be the same, still, just to get to see him again would mean a lot.

He nods. He won't bring that up here and now, but... it's something else they've all got in common, he thinks. No one would want to put Alfred in danger, but they'd be relieved too if he was here.

There's the obvious question of whether or not Gordon has a daughter, though he's suspecting that if Bruce knows it's probably just a random fact filed away somewhere, and that's not his connection to make. For that matter it might not even happen for this Bruce anyway, strangers things have happened in different universes. ]

That you know of. [ He smiles, though it's a touch more sober than before. ] Before this place I doubt you had any reason to look up a circus boy named Dick, he might be out there somewhere.
