"I know," Carver murmurs, wrapping his arms around Bossie. One hand cupped to the back of his neck, steadying. The other rubbing Bossie's back. This is against the rules, improper given Carver's rank, but what else is there to do? You cannot let a brother break and Bossie's always been his to protect, to guide. Carver swears on his soul not to fail Bossie again.
