The gloves go off and Bossie melts a little, comes to Carver and strips off his jacket, his outer shirt, his inner shirt.
He has a scar where Maggie stabbed him. Older scars, too. Nothing to explain the pain he imagined he was in when he was trying to sleep.
"Where are the others?" He asks, looking over his shoulder at Carver. "You're here alone? Are you-"
AWOL he can't bring himself to ask out loud.
