If these were anything like the actual Shadow, she knows she can't out-speed them. So instead she lets it come to her, and when it gets close enough she swings her weapon - using a speed that one might not expect for someone wielding a giant mallet - and feels the impact as she hits the robot, sending it flying back several feet. ]
