( all inara could really do to his kind words was simply smile politely, her head bowing just a bit in agreement to his words. she was never the kind of woman who expected kindness from others, but when it came it was a bit of a tricky situation. she knew men very well, inside and out and their expectations and desires. nothing ever truly came free with any of them, but henry didn't seem like the sort [especially given his relationship but those things were always tenuous depending on the man].
