[ the shouting doesn't seem to work as it only seems to make every passing body seemingly confused at the presence of a random voice shouting out of nowhere. there's a few more kicks to his head, some to his back, and one that narrowly misses his groin before he manages to curl his body up in a defensive position.

he's grumbling about not even having the chance to get himself back onto his feet when he suddenly notices the young girl crouching near him. ]
