Loki knows nothing of comics or movies or any of that. Well, he is aware that they are a form of Midgardian entertainment, but that is where his knowledge ends. But he does understand stories. Mostly he has consumed them through reading, but he believes he understands what his counterpart is getting at. The mere existence of Etraya has made for a different kind of story. It has its similarities to the TVA, but TVA did still seem to exist in a more familiar way

That is not what he expected to hear. It’s not that what his variant says surprises him. The thought has crossed his own mind a few times, but saying it out-loud isn’t something he’s ever considered. It feels too much like giving up and he’s worked too hard to really want that.
