It's an unusual reaction, for sure. From what (admittedly little) he's seen from new people, they're typically more shocked at the kinds of things they have to go through on Etraya. Either this guy doesn't scare easy, or he's been through some crazy stuff back in his own universe.

It's bringing to mind a certain psychiatrist, but he cautiously dismisses the comparison. He's talked to Will for all of two minutes and while he's pretty good at picking out the psychology of people after he's observed them for a bit, he doesn't want to be jumping to conclusions.
"... We get a lot of downtime in between missions," he replies, narrowing his eyes. "That's when it gets boring."
